After a disastrous flake out with previous movers, I have to give the guys we hired from Labor…read moreReady some credit for being able to move us on short notice -- we contacted them at 530am and they arrived at our house at 9am same day. So these guys helped us out in a desperate situation and I will give them that. Unfortunately, hiring movers from Labor Ready was not rosy thereafter. Two movers took 8 hours to move a 3 bedroom house. To their defense, our packing job could have been better but in the past I've hired movers off craigslist who were not intimidated by a few odds and ends to move here and there. Well, these guys were. Plus they were really struggling with the whole move. They would sit there and talk to each other and slow poke around. Additionally, some of our upholstered furniture which was ivory in color ended up black. I think that was the most painful part since it required us to spend a few hundred dollars getting our furniture pieces cleaned professionally, and what gets me is THESE GUYS EVEN HAD PLASTIC WRAP which I requested for these furniture pieces alone! I realize Labor Ready is not a moving service and this complaint might not be the fault of the company's, but I would just caution that when you're in a desperate situation like we were, although they were able to help, the job may not be well done so keep that in mind.
