This is a nice venue for a large event. However, not a 500 person event. They crammed the tables…read moreway too close together and you really had to get creative to maneuver your way around because everyone was right up against each other, causing multiple impasses. It was also very hot in there and the air was not moving. People were fanning themselves. Way too many people. I think they need to probably advertise the space to accommodate 375 people or less. Removing a few tables would have made everyone more comfortable. The lines for food were LONG. That said, the people who were working the bar and the catering were very friendly. The cookie display was beautiful. I have some suggestions for the event itself, but I believe that would be more appropriate for the organizer and not the venue. The only other suggestion I have for the venue is to have better snow removal. It hasn't snowed for several days, but I almost slipped on some ice, while walking from the back of the parking lot. I saw another guy almost slip too. For a large-scale event venue, this negligence is not acceptable. I think with a few improvements and a smaller group this could be a better large event space.

Honestly, I wholeheartedly believe Google/Yelp should accommodate zero-star reviews for situations like this. TL;DR: Beware of the dark spirit of gossip that is looming over this church. My prayer is that this church takes a sincere look at these issues and makes meaningful change, and that no one else becomes the target or victim of gossip going forward. One other thing I will say here is that I'm typically the last person to go out of my way to leave negative reviews. I'm a highly non-confrontational person. I'm a Christian man, and fortunately, my wife and I have found a new home church. However, I feel compelled by the commands in Scripture (Ephesians 5:11; Ezekiel 3:18) to expose sin when appropriate. Knowing what I know now, I feel that my comments are beyond appropriate. They're a responsibility! Furthermore, I would hate to see others fall victim to mistreatment without this church making a sincere effort to change. That's why I feel this is an appropriate comment to make.
