I would not recommend this office based on my experience…read more I paid approximately $700 out of pocket for a tooth extraction and implant treatment plan. At my follow-up appointment, I was unexpectedly told I owed an additional $1,300 for work completed during the extraction that was later denied by my insurance. My concern is that these procedures were performed without clearly informing me that they might not be covered or that I could be responsible for additional costs. When I contacted my insurance company, they advised that the office could submit additional documentation for review, but I did not feel the office was willing to pursue that option. Patients deserve clear communication about treatment, insurance coverage, and potential out-of-pocket expenses before procedures are performed.

The facility is always clean and the staff is pleasant and accommodating. Their services are automated which makes it easier on me as a parent. You have the option of filling out intake forms from your phone before arrival as a well. They have iPads in the waiting area and are always playing the latest and greatest kid movies on their numerous screens. They even go as far as having screen above the service chairs and for kids that can be a bit finicky in the chair I'm sure this helps a great deal. The staff are always patient with my babies, more recently the kids had to get X-rays of their teeth and they're always so understanding of their inability to keep the guard in for the pictures. Going as far as to reassure them even when they're unable to get the X-rays needed. Thanks for helping me keep my kids mouths fresh guys :o).

I also mentioned that he is due to get a routine cleaning. Even after stressing the EMERGENCY part, the best they could offer was an appointment a week out. I ended up having to take him elsewhere to get the emergency addressed but we still came to this appointment thinking he would get the cleaning I also mentioned. We get there. Wait. Get taken to a room. Wait. She comes back and says there's paperwork for the cleaning. Why wasn't it given to me when we checked in? I brushed off that thought and go to the reception desk where I'm told they only scheduled him because I said it was an emergency and that we'd have to come back to get the cleaning. IN WHAT FUKKN WORLD WOULD ANYONE ALLOW THEIR CHILD TO SUFFER WITH TOOTHACHE PAIN FOR A FUKKN WEEK THO?!?! THE FACT THAT THAT WAS THE BEST THEY COULD OFFER TO AN EXISTING PATIENT IS BEYOND ME. This is why I wish they did confirmation calls or something because I could have cleared this up and found a different dentist for the cleaning if I knew my damn time would be wasted with them. When I started here 4 years ago they were a booming business where they made crowns in there…read moreoffice, did implants in there office which was very convenient, but shortly after my first implant, the Dr who performed it left there practice, and a new dentist started my treatment, but after my second visit he also left the practice, and he had performed a bridge which failed a year after it was put in, so I was moved to a new Dr again who wanted to repair the damage from the previous bridge disaster, and reccomended a implant, but they no longer do implants so they referred me out to a new dental surgeon who extracted 2 teeth and started the implant. At this time this doctor noticed severe decay in front of a molar he pulled, and said he doubted the tooth could be saved. Why after 4 years being seen at patuxent dental did they never see this decay? When I called and complained they set me up with an appointment, and then the day prior to the appointment they called and said they needed to end our patient client relationship. So if you complain about their bad dentistry practices , rather than fixing the issues they will simply drop you as a patient. It is very easy to see why two highly skilled dentist left this practice, and believe me I should have never gone there, all they care about is big money procedures like crowns, implants, etc while they let the rest of your teeth rot. Good ridden to this business.
