Ah Sephora it's a makeup lovers dream. Why I never wrote a review before??? I have been here quite a few times before Covid. Staff was always helpful without being in your face a plus. This location is inside of Eastview Mall. They carry all the products and have a beauty insider thing that you can rack up points for all sorts of things and different levels due to your spending habits. I'm now VIB... it's taken a bit.. but I think due to Covid I've been grateful for ordering online and everything comes perfectly packaged. When I was able to get to this location it was great to get samples of perfumes before I bought them.. it was always a plus. It's a great place to find all your fine makeup needs. Give them a whirl! In June I called the store and scheduled a consultation. No one mentioned that there would be a $30 charge. (I have had them before, and was not charged.) The makeup person was friendly and very helpful. We did not discuss the price of the items I purchased before I paid, and she did not mention the $30 charge. Although I appreciate her help, it bothers me that the employee who scheduled my consultation failed to inform me of the fee. read more

I was at Eastview mall and made a stop in Sephora today. The greeter (loose term) asked if she could help me. I told her what I was looking for and she said they didn't carry that brand. I shared that I googled the product and it showed they did. She asked did you check the Sephora website. If it's not in there we don't carry it . She pretty much dismissed me from the store and I never actually even entered the store except to use the exit. I wasn't given an opportunity to look around nor did she offer me a similar product. The customer service/warden at the door was not pleasant. Perhaps she should be working in the back room and not with the public. read more

I remember when I was teenager and entered my first Sephora in 1998 - in France. The store totally wowed me with its variety of colors, the scents, glosses and beautiful women. It was a sublime and eye-opening experience. I was even more excited a few months later when I realized that this magical "Sephora" shop was opening in New York City! Never would I thought this amazing place would exist as a satellite in Eastview Mall in Victor. I am so, so glad it does. There is no better place to buy makeup. The displays are organized and clean, allowing customers to try on makeup in a monitored setting that ensures respect for the products and other customers. It's not like the effed up lipstick you bought at Rite Aid that you forgot to double-check before you left. The selection is second to none - my favorite brands like Nars, Stila, Laura Mercer, Buxom and Yves Saint Laurent are no longer just amorphous products floating online in cyberspace. Without Sephora, it would be difficult to find them in Rochester. The perfume and cologne selection is also awesome. Unlike the annoying perfume counter at department stores where some poor woman with a stiff smile is following you around, you're generally left in peace to do your detective work and figure out which perfume works best for you. I buy most of my perfume and my husband's cologne here and the prices are VERY reasonable -- pretty much on par even with duty free. One thing I would recommend doing is getting the 45-minute makeover. It's free with any $50 purchase. The makeup artists are very skilled and you'll come away with some pretty cool tips and tricks, plus some colors and foundations you may never have thought to try. Another perk about Sephora is the Beauty Insider plan. I've gotten tons of blusher, moisturizer, eye cream and mascara for free just by building up points. I love Sephora. Some things can be expensive but in this case, you get what you pay for and what you pay for is amazing make up that the drug stores can't really beat. Also, there is a ton of variety. I always have great customer service and they always have what I want and are willing to help me with my vagueness of what I want in the first place. I always so around my birthday for my free gift and save all my beauty insider points so I can get a really great gift. I just wish they would send coupons so I can save a couple of dollars. I feel pretty , oh so pretty! I loovvveee Make up!!! If someone asked me what I was obsessed with, other then my nephews, I would say make up! I love make up so much, that I once bought 10 Urban Decay eye shadows and carried them around with me to show any one and everyone I was going to see that day, that I thought would love to see the fabulous colors! With that said, Sephora is my sanctuary. A lot of times i run in to Sephora to grab the basics, but I love the days when I have time to just walk around and ohh and ahh over all the great products! I spend countless hours watching make up tutorials on Youtube, so any chance i get to go barefaced into Sephora and test out the products, I do. I love going into this place because every woman that is in that store is in an amazing mood. It's the Disney Land of make up! You could have just ran over an animal, but the minute you walk in there, you're all smiles and the world becomes a better place! With every brand of make up starring you in the face, it's hard not run around and try on so much that you end up walking our looking like a clown. This Sephora is a the perfect size and it is never over packed. Even on black friday, it's bearable to walk into. It's incredibly clean, so I don't mind trying on the products. The employees are always there to help and show you how to wear the new trend, but they aren't pushy! One of the best things is, they give you samples! Many of the high end beauty counters do not give out free samples, but go to Seophra, you can get a whole line of make up in cute mini containers, FOR FREE! Plus they have an amazing rewards program. On your birthday YOU GET A FREE GIFT!!!!! I am a sucker for a good deal, especially when its free and involves make up! So, ladies, and men, get your butts out to Sephora and start having fun! Men, when in doubt when buying a gift for the special lady in your life, just get her a Sephora gift card....you will do no wrong in her eyes.....until it runs out ;) read more

What can I say? I absolutely love Sephora. I love how the staff are at the top of their game here. We always go to the store having done a lot of research and supposedly aware of what we want to buy. But there is always a good surprise, a lovely suggestion that I will want to try. They are very generous with the samples as well and the return policy is just amazing. You feel like they want their product to work for you. Most of the items are a little pricy, but apparently having a good skin and hair costs a lot and I can't argue with that. But at least you know you will not be dissatisfied with your purchase. Great location, clean organized store, and the helpful staff are just the cherry on top as I likes to put it. read more

As much as I love Sephora, last time I was there, I had a very unpleasant experience. I finally found a lady who decided to help me. After every question she looked aggravated and ready to get rid of me. When I asked about the product, her first respond was "but its $31! is that ok?" She was her early 50, blond short hair, old half way gone manicure, no makeup. I don't think she is happy working there, so why bother? read more

I believe every woman hears the sounds of angels singing in unison when she enters her favorite store ( or maybe that's just me?). That's how I feel when into walk into Sephora! I'll gladly yell to the world that Sephora is one of my all time favorite places. With no difficulty, a paycheck can disappear within 10 minutes of stepping through the front doors. I do love their Beauty Bank rewards card, something no lady should ever be without (you get a point for every dollar spent). Sephora has all my favorites except for M.A.C. and Bobbi Brown. They carry Fresh, Nars, Benefit, Stila, Dior and Philosophy in addition to a myriad of other great products. They've got tools and brushes galore, hair care items, body products, fragrances, carrying cases for those of us with major makeup addictions. In short, Sephora very well may be your one-stop cosmetics shop. Do not go in here in a rush. Thanks to their wide array of products, their prices run the gamut from expensive to very affordable (especially if you buy from the Sephora line itself). Sephora charges the manufacturer's recommended price and you get what you pay for. In my experience, there is no such thing as cheap, quality makeup. Another great thing about Sephora is that their products are guaranteed. If you're not happy, bring it back. Sephora understands that sometimes it takes more than 30 days for you to really know whether a product is right for you. My only complaint is that is can be difficult to get a hold of a customer service member to help me out because they're usually busy with other people. Hint: Sephora, hire more people! But once I do get a hold of someone, they are always extremely friendly and knowledgeable, will walk me over to where I can find the product I'm looking for and they never make me feel rushed. I really do love Sephora. I find that they're prices are very reasonable. I only go to this store for my makeup now. Every girl has the line that they love so this store can accomadate. If your not sure of what line to go with, you can easily find it out here with the testers that they have and the excellent staff. The staff is phenomenal. They are honest!!!! I asked for an opinion on a specific and instead of thinking about the $$, they were just open and up front about what worked for them, which saved me the hassle of buying something i didn't like and returning it. I havent had a makeup fitting in 8 years. Bad experience last time. I've got really bad acne scars, and acne. Going to get makeup, for me, is like going to the dentist. I do not look forward to it. But, I got Sami! :) :) I'm really sensitive about my skin (no, my skin is not sensitive, I am!). She took care of me, got me the right makeup, matched it really well, and she didnt make me feel like I was a bad person because of my bad skin. I'm really pleased, could not be happier!! This was my first visit to Sephora. Normally I avoid it like the plague. I'm glad I went, and I'm glad I got Sami! Go find her, you wont be disappointed. read more

This SEPHORA is difficult to like. They never have the luxury brands in stock like Pat McGrath or LaMer. However they do have several associates that follow you around the store constantly asking you questions when you just want to browse in peace. SEPHORA has way too many employees at this location that do nothing but make your shopping experience unpleasant. For this size store 4-5 employees should be sufficient. I highly recommend shopping online over visiting this location. read more

To start off, I rarely leave reviews for places but I had such a horrible experience that I couldn't not say anything. This is not the first time I've walked into this Sephora location and received little to no customer service or assistance. Multiple employees were walking around and either avoided eye contact or when approached, started conversations with friends or other customers walking by, right in the middle of our conversation. Another employee I approached to ask a question about finding a smudge-proof mascara told me "I don't really know what to tell you because I've never had that problem." I left out of frustration and will not be coming back- Sephora you've lost a loyal customer. read more

The Sephora inside of the jcpenneys is a little bigger than the one inside Greece ridge and market place. It seems to have less staff since every time i go I can never receive help and almost no one is ever at the cash register. They have really good clearance. read more

staff doesn't watch you like hound it has a fully stocked ysl/ dior selection & the setup doesnt change like every week so when you come back next month to restock you dont have to walk all around store to find your must have product. read more
