My daughter and I walked in today expecting to do some shopping for Valentine's Day and, after 30 seconds, turned around and walked out. I have asthma and am very sensitive to fragrances. I literally couldn't breathe from the moment I walked in. I have never had this experience in this Sephora or any other I have visited. My daughter, who does not have any of my medical issues, also couldn't stand the smell from the moment we talked in, so we turned around and left. Called the store to request that an employee check if the last item in stock that I wanted to get my wife as a Christmas present was truly still in stock, and the employee quickly found it and recommended I purchase it online so that it could be reserved. Did that, and pickup on the day before Christmas Eve was painless and fast. Prices are pricey as 3.5 oz sizes of popular women's fragrances sold in retail beauty stores tend to be but you get what you pay for. I really like this store. The employees are very friendly and usually know their beauty stuff. They have some really great makeup on hand and plenty of it. They give you a free gift for your birthday even if you sign up after your birthday has passed (score for makeup)! My daughter loves false eyelashes but she's way too young to have the professional individuals put on so I sacrificed my mom mode and let her get strip lashes. They helped her pick a pair out that fit her eyes and style. Then they showed her how to apply and take care of them. My daughter left very happy with her lashes on fleek! As the beauty industry would say ha ha ha........ We bought way too much makeup so we are set for a bit. We will be back because a place like this can be an addiction. Okay... maybe it's because I came on a Saturday afternoon, or maybe for some strange reason half of the teenage population just now learned about the magic that is sephora.... I'm not certain. Either way this place was a mad house. Clearly the store was busy. It should be it's a fantastic make up store. However, There is a difference between busy an chaotic. This place was a mess. There was an what I assumed to be a 10-12 year old wanna be Picasso painting up her friend on the NARS isle. Then, I get gently nudge out of the Dior isle by a group of teenagers. ( apparently babysit is very lucrative) only to be greeted by a young boy who knocked into me while stepping on my foot. The staff was friendly, but things were out of stock. By the time I flagged someone down I no longer cared. I just wanted to get out of this place. I'm pretty sure I'll stick to online shopping from now on. read more

The selection here is the only reason to go. Do not expect good customer service if you do not have the "look" they prefer. A few of the workers here are nice and helpful, the majority would rater talk umong themselves. There is a great opportunity for this location to offer great customer service and increase the knowledge of the customer, but certain customers are not interesting enough for them to stop gossiping. I have been here over 5 times over 2 1/2 years and the lack of service is consistently lacking. Last visit March 2012, one of five visits was pleasant the visit was during Christmas. Best selection of products in the OKC metro area. If you can go to a Sephora inside a JcPenny's for a better customer service experience that wont have you wishing you make your purchase online instead. =( read more

The problem: I need more high quality goop, and lots of it, in my makeup bags. The solution: Sephora! The problem: It's in the mall. Yikes. The solution: Go when you already have a reason to be at the mall, duh. Avoid weekends, especially before Christmas, if your time is valuable. The problem: But which concealer/blush/lipstick works best for me? The solution: Testers and mirrors everywhere. The problem: Which mascara is going to work better than what I'm currently using? The solution: Men and women dressed in black with a red stripe down their sleeves give you assistance and feedback, even offering to help you try it on. Employees are there to SELL, so expect a fair amount of attention and assistance. The problem, obv: Willpower. Easy to blow a couple bills in here. The solution, obv: Know what you plan to purchase (I like the Tarte liquid eyeliner) in advance and bring that.much.cash. I like sampling fragrances and (usually, if I purchase something and request samples), walking out with sampler size fragrances. I like their selection of dry shampoos for brunettes. (But sadly, no Rene Furterer, the brunette dry shampoo of the gods.) read more

I love Sephora. I have only received bad customer service once, and that was years ago. The customer service is really great here. Unless they have changed their policies, they are usually willing to give samples of liquid products in a clear jar. I got a sample of Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer which lasted me 2 weeks until I dropped it on the floor. Also, if you have are unsatisfied with a product or have an allergic, they allow you to bring it back for a refund or store credit (assuming there is a good amount of product still there). This is a great policy. I've visited Sephora in southern and northern California, Florida, Oklahoma, and Maryland, and always receive top notch customer service. read more

I will start the review with THIS IS THE STORE UPSTAIRS! Not the one in JCPENNY'S..... On with the review... Gabriella asked if I needed assistance, which was very helpful as the store was packed. She showed me where the product I requested was but also went out of her way to color match me and made sure that I picked which color I liked best. She then went on to tell me about the new holiday collections. They don't get paid commission so she went way above and beyond. She had such a pleasant demeanor and was a delight. I've been to so many Sephora's around the US because I am a VIB Rouge, I'm obsessed. I can safely say this is the WOSRT location I've ever visited. I should've gotten this guy's name but he was literally the rudest person I have ever met (I would say worse than a drive thru fastfood joint employee). So everyone knows you can go to Sephora and get a "professional" to match your foundation to your correct colors. Not at this store! The manager of this place refused to help, nor let anyone else here help me. She shoved a bottle of some "color match" foundation in my hand and pointed me to the registers. Not the service I expected. I wanted someone to sit down with me and you know, do the service they advertise. I will never go back to this Sephora. They weren't even that busy, just lazy. Needing to pick up foundation, and knowing that only two places carry the make-up line I chose the one closet to me. No one bothered to ask if I needed assistance, and when I asked for help the sales representative pointed to the aisle where the product might be leaving me to scrounge to find what I needed myself. How could one even think with the music so loud. I do not plan to return, and will make the time to drive to another store that carries the product. read more

I went here for the first time the other day and I loved my experience! The people working there were really friendly and really knew their stuff. Any time I asked for recommendations or ideas they were incredibly helpful and showed me lots of different options. I have always loved Sephora. ALWAYS. It's mo better than a lot of the cosmetic stores around now-a-days. I love the variety of brands - Two Faced - Givency - Bubble Bee- Michael Kors- Clinique and I love the Sephora brand as well. They also have a fantastic perfume selection! FANTASTIC! I really love perfume but find I have so many bottles that I don't ever use near 1/2 the bottle... BUT, Sephora carries mini roller perfumes, a BUNCH of them! They range from $20-30 depending on the brand. I have gotten some of the most popular frangrances in these mini-roller bottles. Flower Baum, Jimmy Choo, and Chloe to name a couple. They also have a rewards program where you can earn points toward freebies. I am only giving this location a 3-star review because it seems that while there is plenty of staff on hand, I am never approached or asked if I need any help. I'm not sure I even get a "thank you" on my way out. But, I love the products they offer, so I'll keep going back. read more

Wonderful staff and wonderful products. This place is too high for my frugal budget but the violet-red lipstick keeps me coming back. It's about $16 but I only buy it once every 6 weeks or so. I gave this place 5 stars despite it being expensive because if I was a glamour girl then I am sure I wouldn't complain about the prices because I think it's actually more affordable than other makeup stores I have browsed in. read more

This store is awful, I literally stood there with THREE shades of foundation in hand while THREE employees stood next to me pretending to dust a dang shelf. I've been there numerous times & never get help. There's some products I can only get from Sephora so it really sucks that our only independent store has horrible employees. I won't waiste my time going back to this store I'll shop at ulta or online. Not to mention I had tons of points that I wasn't asked to redeem yet the cashier next to me was asking his customer if she would like to redeem hers. I love Sephora but this is the worst customer service I have ever had. I knew what I wanted when I went in, and wanted to grab it but the girl that work there tried to tell me it was the wrong thing for me. I told her I was a licensed cosmetologist and she still insisted on a different product. She talk to me as if I didn't know how to tell what makeup was right for me. I've been a makeup artist for 3 plus years now and I bought what I wanted and it was perfect. If I had gone any darker it would have been too dark. I can understand when it comes to people that are unlicensed they might need help picking out the right shades. But when you are somebody that has worked on many photo shoots for magazines and on other projects, and say you dont need help then please stop trying to be superior and walk away. My fiancé and I went in to this location on Thanksgiving night as a part of the early Black Friday sales. I'm a makeup newbie and wanted to get some basic stuff for my face. I'm really nervous when it comes to asking employees in a store for help. I approached one rep (I forgot her name, unfortunately) and told her that I was looking for foundation, concealer, and a brow kit but had no idea what to look for. Even though the store was packed with people, she was happy to help, very informative and friendly. I knew from the get go I was going to be shown expensive items but I was prepared to spend what I needed to get items to compliment my skin type. She definitely listened to my concerns about my dry skin and fine eyebrows and showed me items that would help with that. They were out of a particular concealer that I liked, but she didn't stop there, she found me something else that was about the same price and same quality of the one I had picked out. Her help was really appreciated and I love the items she helped me find. Even though the store was crazy, she took the time to focus on just me. I would definitely go back to this store, even if some of the items are a little pricey, solely for the customer service I received! :) read more
