I came in to find a specific perfume recently and right at the front door I was greeted by a lovely lady who asked if I was looking for anything. She was ready to go walked me straight over to where this perfume was. I was out the door in less than five minutes and for that I'm very grateful. I went to this location in Oct 2025 & wanted to look at the Dior cosmetics. Specifically the foundation & Lip Oil. An employee came over to assist me. Assist me she did not; instead she dumped me with a IT cosmetics rep. who was in town from another city as this was part of her area. Here I am on the endcap of an aisle at the IT products & she is trying to match me but wanted to do a little bit of skincare. I could feel my face getting irritated from the products she put on me. I mentioned it and she said it may cause some tingling. I left & walked through Macys & saw Chanel there & mentioned to the employee that I was interested in the foundation. She commented on my face being red so I told her what happened at Sephora and she indicated that several people have had the same issue. My face was so inflamed from the chemicals that we couldn't even match foundations & instead she used products to calm my skin down & made me samples to try at home. Instantly my skin felt better. it was disappointing to have a employee pretend to help you only to pawn you off to someone else. The only reason I "fell" for it was she acted like she was going to take me to an area where they had a little counter so she could "color match me easier". I have friends who love Sephora and do hauls when they have big sales but the few times I've been to this location I've just never been impressed enough to buy anything based on experience. read more

Huge disappointment today with the people working at Sephora. I have all my receipts and at the register I'm being told I can't get my money back because they couldn't find my original form of payment...um... proof is in the receipts I just showed you. Either this is due to laziness on their part or complete lack of proper training or a more sinister thing like not wanting a negative on the days sales so they refuse to do a refund that rightfully belonged to me. I didn't have any more time to waste on this so I decided to accept their store merchandise credit. The take away for me today is if I need to exchange something I don't. I just get a refund. Then if I need to buy something, it's a whole new transaction so that I don't run into this nonsense again. I'm super disappointed in how this was handled and if you can buy makeup somewhere else, I highly suggest you do. Now if you must shop at Sephora don't ever do an exchange, just return the item(s) then do an entirety different transaction altogether. It was an absolute mad house in here last friday night when we stopped in to get my birthday gift. But I stood in line and was assisted within a few minutes. The only option left was the Gucci perfume mini set, which I gladly picked up. I tried ordering something for pickup here but because the price, $15- for three minis, was great on a mini nudestix set, it wasn't available. I really like my eyeshadow and lip care products, so that's what I wear the most. I can't wear mascara, because I've got sensitive eyes, something in that formulation doesn't agree with me. I also have sensitive skin so I am careful about what goes on my face too. I prefer clean beauty brands overall. Guess everyone's out shopping for Christmas. Hubby tried returning something here, the next night, but because it was purchased at a Kohls Sephora location, it has to be done there. read more

Overall Rating: Solid 1.5 Star This Sephora location is by far the worst I have ever experienced. Location: This Sephora is located in downtown Summerlin. Parking: There is plenty of street parking as well as garage parking. Ambiance/Decor: This location is on the smaller side so when it is busy, it can be really crammed during busy hours or major sale days. Customer Service: The customer service at this location is consistently poor. There are only two beauty advisors who actually seem to care about their role and helping customers. One particular manager never has a smile on her face and completely ignores customers during checkout, it is almost as if the customers are an inconvenience rather than valued customers. This is not something I would expect in a location as prominent as Summerlin. Overall: After multiple disappointing experiences at this location, I would rather order directly from Sephora's website and wait for shipping than risk another unpredictable and frustrating in-store experience. I usually love going into a Sephora and this one is the closest to me. However, every time I go in this one, I rarely ever meet any friendly employees ready and willing to help you find your needs. I know it can be busy though. I purchased a foundation online and most of the time after it arrives, I don't usually use it right away. Anyway, I went to the store to return a foundation and the lady was a little rude with "sweetheart, this is wayyy past the 60 days" of the return policy. I said "ok" and went on my way. Then I thought about it - I ordered in middle of November, probably didn't get the package til Thanksgiving so I didn't start using the product til probably December. It's early February. I really think Sephora needs to change their return policy to 90 days, IMO. read more

I have been shopping at Sephora stores across the country for 20 years. This was my favorite place to shop. Overall, It has gone downhill with customer service. There are kids working there who are more interested in how they look and could care less about working the floor. Anyway, I stopped in in May to buy a hair serum. It was one I was trying out. I used it once and didn't like it. I kept the box AND receipt to make a return. I work 70+ hrs a week and rarely get out. When I finally had a day off I took the product in the box with the receipt to make the return. I was told the policy was changed in April and there's an expiration date now when returning WITH THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT. Apparently I was 5 days late and unable to return the product. If I didn't have the receipt, I completely understand and there was a time when they just gave you store credit. So, now I'm left with a product I'll never use. I will be shopping on the products website and bypassing Sephora all together. At least they have a fair return policy and you won't be throwing your money away. read more

The store manager, Katie, was friendly, & generous, took a moment out of her busy schedule to talk with us. The beauty manager Shantel, was helpful & kind and assisted us with all of our beauty needs. Cassie, the makeup artist, was a delight!!! She was patient with my family, my mother & aunt. I had an amazing experience at this location! Eve spent quite a bit of time with me finding my perfect match for some loose powder. She was so patient with me while I tried to decide between three different brands. I thought it was so cool that they were able to take a picture of my skin and it automatically matched me with all the shades from different brands! That's amazing. Shay checked me out and I took her two eyeshadow tester palettes that were both out of stock on the shelf so she took time to go find one in the back and then helped me order the other one online that was out of stock in the store. The staff at this location should be ashamed of the way they treat shoppers. My friend and I were at the perfume sampler section sniffing ones that were not available on the larger perfume wall display and she accidentally dropped one and it shattered on her foot. She was extremely embarrassed by the situation and one of the sales associates (middle aged white woman blonde hair) walked over and said with annoyance "did you break one?" My friend said yes I'm sorry. The woman sighed and said "now I have to clean this up. Go to the perfume wall and smell those". She didn't once ask my friend if she was okay or struck with glass (meanwhile there was a broken glass bottle on top of her foot). We moved to this section bc their in store selection was so slim with what was available to smell for popular scents. Every time I go into this store the staff is extremely rude and not helpful. Confession time. I'm 22 yrs old with little to no experience with makeup. I wasn't allowed to wear any in school, so now I have some catching up to do. I see girls half my age with better makeup than me, it's absolutely embarrassing. Well- that was until I mustered up the courage to walk in here and start my little makeup journey, haha. I had a vague idea of what I was looking for and brands I was interested in. I had an employee help me pick out shades of Milk cream foundation, cream contour, and a beauty blender. She was sososo sweet and helpful, fantastic at her job. This was a couple of months back, so I don't remember her name. But she was a young black girl, about 5'6. Her patience and tips were so valuable to me. I had ZERO experience applying any foundation or contour, but because of her I feel like I know what I'm doing. Just the cherry on top, I was given a Milk cream blush/lipstick at the checkout. Since then, I've been back many times. From mascara, to skincare, to colognes and perfume, I've come here for all of my beauty needs. Sometimes employees do hover, and I'll be asked 20 times in one visit if I'm doing okay. I've been told Sephora's a great place to shop. I have a couple of friends that have spent a fortune, both in Vegas and LA. I had a great experience and definitely am a fan. I forgot my mask at home, thinking it was in my pocket, they have masks in a sealed container and were very friendly. I was able to get help in getting new makeup since the company I used to use is now only offering skincare. Sephora is like Ulta's beautiful big sister. The location is perfect with curbside parking (when available). You won't find any drug store finds here but they offer brands that range from moderate to high end. You typically know what you want when you come here . Signature brands include Huda Beauty to Marc Jacobs, Makeup Forever, Bare Minerals etc. They are the sole carrier of Fenty which is my brand of choice. Today I came in to change my makeup tone since the change of season has caused my skin to lighter a bit. My beauty consultant was Gina she was super friendly and easy to talk to. She never made me feel rushed and when I opted to check out the large selections of perfumes she even offered me a sample of the scent I was unsure of. Her customer service was pleasant to say the least. I love that they offer a reward system so you typically walk away with some small trinket of a product they carry in store. I recent received a mascara from them from a brand I would've never considered and I've been hooked ever since so sign up via email the rewards are worth it! read more

So I almost exclusively purchase my makeup at Sephora. I had a bad experience at Ulta in '08 where I spent $750 in one purchase and never got any rewards points so Sephora is my go to store. I've taken a contouring class here which was great (Melise & Courtney.) As far as shopping at this location - meh. One of the main reasons I purchase almost everything from Sephora.com is that there's always a free gift with any purchase of $25 and 3 samples. I have express 2 day shipping on my membership so I love it. Almost every time I shop in this particular store, they have no samples in stock at checkout & free gifts are online only. I always feel weird asking "what are your samples today?" when I see them not put a sample in my bag, only to be told, "oh, we are out, we need to make some more up." While the classes are great, I'm not a big fan of shopping in store anymore. My dollar goes father online. I will be back to check product out because I've bought too many items online only to be shocked at how small they are (umm Besame violet powder... looking at you.) I just don't have it in me to return perfectly good product just because it was a rip off. read more

Wifey and sister in law needed to restock their make up goods, and wanted to scope out any holiday deals so I thought I'd check out the Men's section (if they had one?) and sure enough, they did. Brie was nice enough to direct me to a little wall WAAAY in the back where I sniffed some samples, but nothing really caught my eye, er...nose. She was also very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful with the ladies, and even offered some of her own trade tips and secrets which made the visit for each and every one of us very pleasant. The sales associates follow you around and act like you're stealing. It makes shopping so uncomfortable with them breathing on our neck all the time. Seriously, they don't even smile at you or ask if you need help -- they just watch you like you're some criminal. The only employee who helped was Andrea.
