I am disappointed in the staff at the Liberty Mo. Store. The disrespect and making the customer feel beneath the staff is absolutely disgusting. The customer service is at an all time low. I have had the same experience at this store over and over again. I have heard of others going through the same thing. I went to Sephora today for help with makeup. I haven't worn makeup since I retired some years ago and am currently going through cancer treatment. Needless to say I look and feel washed out. I walked in and was greeted by Krystal who asked if I needed help. I explained my situation and she was WONDERFUL!!! I have been to several Sephora's. I'll honestly tell you I'm a Rouge. Which means I spend way too much time (and money) at Sephora in general. lol. The one in Zona Rosa, this one, has hands down the best customer service. I can come inside the store with my hair in a pony-tail, wild hair strands flying out as well, wearing a t-shirt and work-out pants, and do NOT look Rouge at all. They treat me like I'm a star customer, they welcome me warmly at the door and cater to my every need. Here is the thing: they did this before I was Rouge. Before I bought my first item. This specific store is the reason I am Rouge. I have learned so much about how to apply makeup from these ladies over the years. They are the big sisters this tomboy desperately needed when it comes to all my questions and need of instruction. Eventually I moved into the skincare realm where they then took time to educate me on as this well. The manager (I'm horrible with names) is a lovely woman, warm and kind. For those who feel bugged when they are in the store, please know that this is what is expected of the sales associates. They are expected to be on the floor and only a few feet away from a potential customer should the potential customer have any questions at all. I'm a pale white woman who gets greeted at the door then asked every five minutes if I need any help. I cannot say with certainty that anyone else's experience was anything but profiling, and I hope it was not. But I am almost positive that in at least a few cases it was misunderstood as profiling because they do it to me as well (I read the other reviews). I, too, at first was bugged by it. I'm not joking. I was annoyed. But then I realized that the associates on the floor are expected to ask customers frequently if they need anything. They are literally doing the jobs they are told to do. And some associates take this duty more seriously than others. I just smile and wave them away as soon as I notice one starting to come over if I'm just looking and want to be left alone. Eventually, the associate gets the idea. To me this store is far more preferable to the other Sephora stores where I have not received customer service, where I have had to seek out an associate, interrupt their conversation with another associate, and be greeted with a bored expression and lack of willingness to try to take care of my need. The once-over look from an associate is the one thing that will always lose my business. And this Sephora? They have never, ever done that to me, never looked down on me, never given me any hassle with a return, never made me feel less than an important girly customer, which I love. Instead, when I ask for a sample of something, they have always done so willingly. They've answered my zillion questions - about nearly everything in the store (I'm a very curious person). And a little oversharing here but they have helped me build my self-esteem over the years. It doesn't matter what I am wearing when I walk in, I always receive excellent customer service, for which I am very grateful. As any tomboy can tell you, a place like that can initially seem a bit intimidating. And look at me now? I'm a Rouge. read more

The best Sephora in the area! Associates are helpful, friendly and want to help. They are great at suggestions and assisting me even when I show up in workout pants and house slippers. That's not a joke, I literally forgot I was wearing slippers once and ended up here. No judgement! I've never been judged going in here and I've been coming here with three daughters for years! Zona is a half empty mall these days but Sephora is busy. Great sales and promotions during the holidays too! read more

Salesperson: Are you wearing any makeup? Me: Are you my new best friend? On a mission to get a foundation for winter I had to here. Unlike a drugstore you get to try things here, perfume, makeup, lotion, try it all! They definitely know their products and their clients and they are so nice! It takes about 10 minutes but if you're buying their product they'll give you a mini makeover and fix you up. This is usually my tactic on a big night out, I'll go get my hair did and swing by Sephora, it makes me feel like a movie star! This trip I also raided the Kat Von D section and scored a bunch of sales. Usually I hit up the fragrance wall but my winter scents are locked in. For around $100 I picked up 2 gift sets of makeup and that awesome skin matching foundation. When you sign up for the beauty insider card you get free gifts too. It can get expensive here but their products are top notch. And hey, if it makes you look and feel good, can you really put a price on that? ;) read more

Let me start by saying that I was introduced to Sephora while I was in California. I learned the different techniques and tricks with cosmetics as well as learned about proper hair care. Coming home to Missouri I felt like there was always a lack of quality places to go to get quality cosmetics. Then Sephora finally came to Missouri/Kansas area and I was thrilled. Something that is great about Sephora is that they hire people that know the products that are being sold in the store. They can help you find the perfect product and answer all your questions (and please don't be afraid to ask questions). I always recommend going onto the Sephora website before heading into the store itself to get an idea of what you want. One of my favorite lines is Make-up Forever which is high end line that is generally used in fashion shows as well as television/films. They have an amazing HD collection that beats out all the other HD collections have found. The make-up goes on smooth and flawless and of course looks great on camera. A word to the wise, Sephora is not cheap. I generally go in and easily spend over $100 on a few products. Sephora does have their own line of cosmetics but even those can get a little on the pricey side. Just be warned that it is extremely pricey but if you like quality cosmetics (or work in the cosmetics field) then it is worth it! read more

The pros are normally pretty equal to the cons of a visit to Sephora. I find that the expertise level of the sales people are so all over the board that it is hard to find the best help for what I am looking for. I have purchased some great products here. Many of which were suggested by a saleswoman, but a few that I have paid good money for items that were not best suited to me or ended up returning. Sephora is great if you know exactly what beauty products you are looking for and don't mind spending decent money to get it. read more

I received a mini makeover from Emma. She was awesome. She told me everything she was doing every step of the way which was super helpful. She gave me a non-traditional smoky eye using some deep purple colors explaining it would bring out the green in my blue/green eyes. Her makeup was phenomenal so I definitely trusted her opinion. I wouldn't get my hair done at a salon where the stylists have jacked up hair so you get my drift. I asked her about some other products I was considering purchasing & she knew exactly what to recommend. I had already made my initial purchase (around $60) & because of Emma's recommendations, I spent an additional $90 before I left. I would go back to request services from her specifically. read more

I go in there on a Friday afternoon getting my girlfriend whatever she desires, I get greeted by a woman I was like I'm good I know what I need I got her cart pulled up on my phone no problem about 10 mins later I'm asked if I need help nope I'm good thanks 5 mins later same question 2 minutes later same question like what the hell? Can I shop in peace?! I had to break it down to that lady don't keep asking me the same question because you wanna see if I'm gonna steal some fucking make up!! read more

Worst Sephora ever! Went in with email about new product at 243 on Sep 22. Several people working none seem interested in helping us spend money. Associate snottily said all Sephoras carry the same things. When we did try to checkout she walked to the register then turned her back. Long term Sephora customer headed to Ulta! read more
