I am not a member of this insurance company, but they handled the claim for one of their customers who hit my car smoothly and with efficiency. I haven't received the check yet, but I am happy they were the ones handling the claim on behalf of Dairyland Auto Insurance out here in CA. read more

Sentry Select Insurance Company denied my claim. A semi truck owned by White Barn Trucking lost a tire's tread directly in front of me. The police report faulted the truck driver. White Barn Trucking admitted their truck lost the tire tread. Regardless, Sentry Select Insurance insisted that since routine maintenance had been completed on the truck, White Barn Trucking was not responsible for the damage caused to my car. Do not do business with Sentry Select or White Barn Trucking. read more

My friends I am begging you, do not ever willingly have dealings with Dairyland Motorcycle Insurance or Sentry. I have been dealing with the poor communication, lies, and mishandling of a claim since JUNE. 1. They have taken 3-4 weeks to respond to calls, then tried to blame it on me. I finally told them NOT to call me, email me so that I would have PROOF of their lies. 2. They have made every excuse to give us the bare minimum reimbursement. For the kid's car seats that were damaged in the accident, we had to go buy new car seats just to get home! The car seats were deemed unsafe by the officer on site. When we sent in the receipts for the seats, we were told "we just make it even with what you had", so they prorated the car seat value based on the current price and how old it was. As if I can re-buy a prorated car seat to replace it?!? We ended up getting a little over $200 for car seats that cost us over $600 to replace. 3. They have tried to cut corners as much as possible with the bodily injury claim. I've gotten calls from the collections agency because the bill hasn't been paid. I was FINALLY able to agree to a settlement 2/28 (I thought this would mark the end of dealing with these people). I received the release form, got it notarized the very next day, sent it in on 3/2 (via email). Didn't get a confirmation from anyone until 3/18. I finally received the check today and it's less than half what I agreed to!!!! I am absolutely livid and so tired of dealing with this. I've never experienced such bad business practice, so many grossly incompetent people, and so much deceit. They have wasted so much of mine and my mother's time it's unbelievable. My takeaway: 1. If you have this company for insurance- cancel it. It's NOT worth the hassle. Not everyone can afford to wait 6 months to get paid back their losses. 2. If you ever get in an accident and the other driver has Dairyland (like in our case), do yourself a favor and just allow your insurance to file the claim and let them deal with the other insurance company. read more

This company's policies are a joke that are outlined to get over on the honest individual. I was hit by a Sentry client after they made a huge traffic violation and struck my vehicle sitting dead still. After almost 3 months of back and forth, I'm told that your adjusters can't make the connection to certain damages on my vehicle and that I would have to eat the costs to fix them myself. This just goes to show that honest people are always the ones to be gotten over on. I was truthful and transparent through the whole process and filed no false medical claims as me and my wife had no injuries despite being struck by a driver that had no license they could produce and smelled strongly of alcohol. I didn't pursue anything because Sentry claimed fault and expressed they would take care of the damages. Little did I know they only meant some of the damages. This was a situation that had all the variables to be really bad, but wasn't....you would think an insurance company would consider this a blessing in this incident and do what they could in their power to make things right.....but no....and all over an additional 1,000 dollars in repair. Despite the vehicle being a high demand, show quality vehicle....I was told that because it's an 07...it's normal wear and tear and they can't fix every little broken thing on an old vehicle. I sincerely hope that I never have the displeasure of being on the receiving end of this company ever again. Just goes to show that honesty gets you nowhere but out of pocket and the only way to receive fairness is to manipulate the system like a common criminal. Thanks for nothing. read more

Absolutely terrible to HAVE to work with! I am in the process of a insurance claim with them right now because one of their insureds wrecked into my parked car. They will not help me at all. Terrible customer service. Terrible service in general. read more

They could reduce premiums to customers if they spent a lot less on their surroundings and "perks" for sales staff! I've overheard Sentry people talking about how they have "screwed over" customers on claims. Do people really think they are not being heard by others when they discuss work loudly in public?!? read more

The settlement claims adjuster told me that regardless of what I have added to my Harley, it is still a 2009 Road King so they will continue to depreciate 9 years off of my additional equipment of $4277 down to $1085. Equipment is not even 6 months old, I've only owned the bike a year and a half before it was stolen. Horrible, insensitive, lying service and the whole social media is in for a treat. Claim still not settled after 3 months, the settlement claims adjuster took my comments personally and placed my claim on the burner. This is what consumers are paying for, regardless of the price, it's not worth the time, effort or money. I'm wondering what Pete Anhalt(VP) will think when he gets my file forwarded to him certified mail? Also NBC Investigates can also expect a copy. Let's not leave out social media, you get a file, you get a file...#oprah. Elephant Insurance, you will also get file! read more
