Well, our first night in Madrid after my buddy and i picked up our third buddy from the airport, we went straight to the bar to celebrate our arrival in Spain. We ordered shots and supposedly shots are called "chupitos" in Spain. The lady bartenders laughed at us. I think they were 3 or 4€s. After that we had beers, i think Heinekens which were 2€s. Nothing special. Just a good ol' Irish pub. We were excited that this place closed at 4am but then we realized that's just standard out in Spain.

The nachos we ordered had cold stadium type nacho cheese on them with a small side of artificial guacamole. The burger we ordered was incredibly rare to the point where we didn't know if that's how they do it in Spain or if they just don't know how to cook a hamburger. We gave up and ate the bread. Fish and chips were soggy but edible. Have a few drinks, the place is busy but don't eat the food.

They serve halves of croissants with ham and cheese as free appetizers - this was a nice touch, since we were cranky and starving. We also ordered Mort Subitas...yum. My only complaint was that our Mort Subitas came with Mort glasses, smeared with pink lipstick; we told our waiter, and he promptly switched them, and yelled at the lady in charge of doing the dishes. He was very nice, and I recommend it if you're hungry and confused in this area of Madrid.

Al rededor de las 22:45 nos empezaron a traes aperitivos que no habíamos pedido como "disculpa" de cocina. No nos trajeron nuestra comida hasta aproximadamente las 23:00 (llevábamos ya 1 hora y media esperando, y las reservas se supone que duran 2 horas). Además la comida no estaba buena, pedimos un sándwich chick n'smoke que estaba malo, dos hamurguesas macanudas que tenían los macarrones y el queso rancios (la otra hamburguesa y el otro sandwich estaban bien). Por lo menos al hablar con el encargado, al que le expresamos tanto nuestra satisfacción con Valeria como nuestro enorme descontento con la experiencia en general nos ofreció no cobrarnos las bebidas (que eran unas cuantas debido a la larga espera).
