Sifu Jason, Sifu Aaron, Sifu Jazz, and Sifu Rusty deserve so much credit for the time, dedication, and commitment they give to each and every student. Their passion for what they do shows in every class. What makes this academy stand out is that they don't just teach martial arts--they teach history, philosophy, and the why behind the art. Students learn that martial arts isn't only about physical skill, but also about developing the mind and spirit. The instructors emphasize how knowledge, discipline, and understanding can help you navigate life with confidence, respect, and integrity. The environment is welcoming, supportive, and family-oriented. Every student is valued, challenged, and encouraged to become their best self--on and off the mat. We are so grateful to be part of the Greenville Academy of Martial Arts family and can't recommend it highly enough!

Rolling with new people is already concerning, especially since I'm an older grappler (59), but Dan and his crew made me feel incredibly welcomed. He introduced me to some of his instructors, and I ended up having some solid technical rolls with some great people. Everyone was super attentive, and eyes were on the mat the whole time, making sure everyone stayed safe. The environment in the gym was communal, and it was awesome to see families training together, husbands, wives, and kids. From start to finish, I felt welcome, and more importantly, felt safe. Great gym, great people, and I will be back the next time I'm in Greenville

Taking our Daughter to Mr. Beckham's was one of the best things we ever did for her. As a young…read moregirl, we were looking for something that would build her confidence and at the same time allow her to defend herself should the need ever arise. We heard about several places and even talked to a few children who were "black belts." Very soon we found out that some of these Karate-Type babysitting services might be fun, but were not the REAL DEAL! Children at age 8 and 9 walking around thinking that they were Black Belts could not even get out of a simple arm-bar. Mr. Beckham will actually TEACH your child how to defend themselves. His classes are organized and he sets the bar high! Somehow Mr. Beckham is able to encourage your child step-by-step AND maintain discipline. (Not an easy task with a group of children.) His staff was always engaging and motivating. Our daughter grew in confidence, strength and courage. She started at age 6. She LOVED everyday of her experience with Mr. Beckham and the path that he set her on has enabled her to grow into the fine, strong woman she is today!
