History
Established in 1950.
For over 56 years, spanning three generations, the Sensenich family has been known as the "Diamond Doctors". It began in 1955, when Hershel Sensenich, along with his wife Betty, opened their store right in the heart of downtown Chillicothe, Missouri. They shared their historic building on the square with Optometrist Chris Geer for over 17 years before moving next door to where they are currently located today! Diamonds were in their genes as their son, Mike continued the tradition and joined the family business in the late 1960's. In 1970 Mike's skilled craftsmanship was rewarded with a scholarship to attend a prestigious watch making school in Switzerland. Excited to bring back his expertise, he took over managing the store in 1973, then marrying his lovely wife Becky in 1977. Mike and Becky's son Eric joined the family business in 1998, making the third generation, with his wife Brandy and son Gabriel. The Sensenich "Bling" has dazzled families for years and many more to come!
Meet the Business Owner: Mike S.
Mike Sensenich is the ultimate "Diamond Doctor"! His gorgeous one-of-a-kind rings are custom made and truly a mark of his amazing craftsmanship. Mike's vast knowledge leaves little he doesn't know about, he'll not only tell you the background, details, and specifics, he will tell you the absolute truth about the diamond or piece you're asking about. His integrity, ethics, and professionalism make him the "Doctor" to trust. He says that his favorite stone has to be the diamond and favorite color is Gold! His favorite part of working in the store is working with the customers to create pieces of jewelry and working with different generations selling parents their engagement rings and then doing the same with their children. When Mike has free time he loves to do woodworking and as everyone who comes in the store knows, Fireworks! Mike is on the University Extension, 4-H Trust Foundation, Properties Committee at the United Methodist Church, and is an Alumni of Watch Makers of Switzerland.
