They, however, do NOT have any records because I didn't book anything seeing as I they refused to take my business. 2. I get a lot of Groupons particularly for salons because I love to be pampered, and let me state that ALL salons BUT M.Lekkakos have been accomidating; even if they have to book out three months after the expiration date. This salon was not. Maria, you and your front end secretary have no people skills and your inability to negotiate makes you horrible business people. 3. There is a reason businesses use Groupon. Its to drum up business. Its obvious why you need it. I'm sure you will keep using Groupon as a way to get people in your doors at least once. 4. I did contact Groupon, as did MANY others and yes, because THEY are a good business, you should follow their model, I received a full refund. 5. Good luck to you and I hope you don't go out of business.

Katie is a phenomenal masseuse! But.... Because we were both having our treatments with Katie, we each had to sit and wait for an hour. Would have been fine if we were offered a drink or at least smiled at. The waiting area leaves much to be desired. Right by the door makes it FREEZING while you wait (if you go in the winter). Music is way too loud and not at all spa-ish. And employees bitching about having to work on a Saturday, having clients cancel, and taking 15 smoke breaks in the hour that I was sitting and waiting was (a) not impressive, (b) really smelly, and (c) really unprofessional. Overall, a so-so experience, but the reason for going was the spa treatment and it was amazing, so 4 stars.

It's now the day after and my skin feels dull, unlike facials I've received at other businesses. If I had gotten the $80 microexfoliation add on maybe this would be different but I had a double cleanse, exfoliant, extractions and moisturizer that just didn't satisfy me. The extractions focused on my nose and were more painful than those I've experienced before. I had an active breakout on my cheek that I was surprised to have popped while congestion on my chin was left unaddressed. Red light therapy was gifted to me but I think if not I would've left with a very irritated and flushed face. While treatments/products were sitting on my face, I have a feeling my facialist was just sitting on her phone rather than giving a massage or anything. Overall this felt like a budget experience meriting a cost of maybe $70 tops for the less than 45 minutes I was in the chair. I'm giving this two stars rather than one only because they were able to accommodate me and a guest at the end of the day on short notice (called at noon and seen at 4), and I want to give the benefit on the doubt that service is better toward regular customers. Given this is a chain I would recommend patronizing a smaller salon with further trained estheticians.

I asked to charge my card on file a 20% tip. I assumed it would be 20% of the discounted rate. Nope! The women at the front desk charged me 20% of the 80 minute rate. I spent $350.00 on treatment I did t know I was getting. And left an $80 tip. But I questioned the price. I emailed the salon to get an explanation, and this is what I received back: HI Leslie, It's confusing to hear that you are bothered by the price of your services today. The pricing is based on services rendered and very straightforward. We would never charge extra if you were sitting "longer than necessary" and I would also be curious what you are basing timing on. We don't typically give a step by step quote... we use our professional judgement on what your hair needs to look its best. I would recommend letting your stylist know budget restrictions before the appointment to make sure we can accomplish that goal. Best, Megan Brennan Essentials Salon
