Music going, people dancing everywhere, drinks flowing nonstop, and just this very fun international crowd all committing to spending an entire afternoon partying on an island off Cannes. The best part about this is the transportation, best deal and sweet gesture for them to do for us. $29 per person to get to the restaurant and it runs smoothly since you need to arrange it ahead of time and getting there early is key to help them from falling behind. While she went on an excursion, I decided to stay in town and walk a bit, and find a nice cafe to relax and read from. While on my jaunt, I bumped into this restaurant. The name reminded me of an incredible (sadly, now closed) restaurant close to my apt in Queens called Casa del Chef. As I approached La Table du Chef, I noticed the various accolades it had garnered and thought this would be the perfect place to have dinner. We stopped in without a reservation. I would not recommend doing this; for sure get a reservation, we got lucky. The place is lovely and the staff is sweet. The person helping us explained that there is no menu and what's served changes every day. We got some wine, sat back and awaited what would be our favorite meal of a two week trip to France. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, but believe when I tell you that absolutely everything was spectacular. This is a very special place, the type of place you go and it makes you feel happy and alive. It's a wonderful experience.
