We also are developing growing to have in clinic services soon (such as a day program). The atmosphere is so wonderful and the staff are very focused on doing a positive job. The training is virtually limitless. The owner of the company talks about longevity and helping staff grow in their careers. The best part is having the freedom and ability to do positive therapy at the office and in the community! I get to actually make a real difference in the lives of the Individuals and families that I serve!!! I get to be person centered and work with people of all ages (who have mental health care needs, depression, anxiety, Autism, substance use issues, behavioral and developmental issues and quality of life issues). What a great variety of work! I feel like I am herd and understood by my boss and team when I have ideas or concerns. The company is always growing and developing. The pay and benefits are very good. My mother passed away 3 weeks ago. She had caregivers from Home Instead in Burnsville for the…read morepast 10 years. We have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on her care with them. I have not received a sympathy card or call from the management since her passing. Over the years I have been frustrated with the management and some of the staff at Home Instead. If not for the bond my mother had with a couple of her caregivers, I would have left this company years ago. Their lack of understanding of dementia patients, lack of compassion and basic understanding of how to navigate care in this time of COVID is more than concerning. I could never recommend this company due to the above mentioned problems and more. If you use them, be prepared to fight for your loved one, be a strong advocate and realize there will be no compassion or understanding from the management staff. I can only assume their lack of extending any kind of condolences is that they no longer have use for our family as their cash cow is now gone.
