I've just come back from Sence bar this evening. There was an event being held there this afternoon, so my experience of Sence bar was of a different kind. It's very easy to find, though at first I did walk through the main Arcadian complex part where all the other bars are located i.e. Mono Bar, The Glee Club etc and ended up looking very confused. I thought I was lost but then realised Sence Bar is located on Hurst Street opposite the Hippodrome Theatre.
It's a good sized club venue, so I'm sure when there's a club night on its packed. I can imagine it being a little tricky to walk up the stairs though on a night out, to the main bar area. There aren't many stairs but it's still something that gets on my nerves in a lot of clubs.
For this event, they had to remove a few of the bar stools and close of some sections so that they could make it into an event space. To be fair, for saying it was a club venue- the inside is really nice. It's pretty spacious, with a large bar area as well as black leather booths located on the right hand side of the bar; which were being used as stalls for the businesses that came to this afternoon's event.
They were playing RnB, Hip hop and pop music but I've heard they play a variation of music and there's always a diverse mixture of people who go there. I'll try and go there on a proper night out and see if I still think it's OK. read more
