History
Established in 1959.
The firm was started by Donald A. Semisch in the front room of the house where he lived with his wife and two sons. Those sons, Mark and Scot, joined their father in 1986. Donald retired to sunny Florida in 2003. Mark and Scot continue to practice law in the same house where it all started in 1960.
Meet the Business Owner: Mark and Scot S.
Mark Semisch and Scot Semisch grew up near Jenkintown, the sons of Donald A. Semisch, who founded the family firm, and Kathleen R. Semisch, an elementary music teacher.
Mark attended The College of William and Mary, earning his bachelor's degree in English and Philosophy in 1982. Mark then attended The Marshall Wythe School of Law at The College of William and Mary, earning his law degree in 1986. While he studied, he supported himself and his growing family by working as a wine steward and waiter at The Williamsburg Inn. Mark and his wife reside in Doylestown.
Scot graduated from Villanova University School of Law in 1986. He is married to a professor at LaSalle University. Both he and his wife played tennis on their college teams and continue to this day to enjoy the game. They have added golf to their athletic activities. They enjoy living near a small town center where the neighbors know each other and thoroughly enjoy Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs.
