My daughter applied for the IB program and got in for this school year which continues our family history of attending HHS. In conjunction with standard programs, Hillsborough has offered the International Baccalaureate program since 1994. If you graduate from this program, you receive some nice benefits (i.e. AP credits, Bright Future scholarship). Even if you attend standard classes, you'll still get a quality education. Positives: The teachers are pretty responsive and generally keep parents updated on progress. Drop off in front of the school is relatively easy, even with the crowded parkjng situation. Some drawbacks: AC units aren't always in the best shape (inconsistent heat, AC, and humidity through the building). The bathrooms aren't the best (missing doors, no TP). I'm not sure these are just issues at this school, could be a countywide issue. Overall, experiences here have been positive and I can strongly recommend the IB program. Go Big Red!
