Look - I don't complain very often - I got to the station and the booking had not gone through - so…read morethe poor woman at the desk had to try and call into the company (the company is located off site, so petrol station staff do the job). Doing this meant - literally using my mobile phone to speak with the company, and trying to manage other customers coming in for petrol, etc. Took ages, and it was pretty clear no one wanted to help. Eventually I got the van and it was fine... MOST importantly - it should be made really clear - you will pay a $400 deposit and they will not refund this for 10 WORKING days. Most rental companies say this might be the case "up to ten working days" At self move hire this is a planned refund so it will take potentially 2 weeks or more to get your deposit back. IF this is an issue for you (It was for me!) Call another company - lots of standard rental companies have vans. Also if you have storage at Kennards they have vans and utes..as I found out later. OK - rant over ---

We had to badger Orana to follow up claims and update us, and the stress of this experience dragging on for 9 months, and the injustice of the outcome, caused great emotional distress - not to mention being out the $750 excess (thank God I paid extra to lower it) despite having in writing that Orana found us not at fault, has been and continues to be incredibly upsetting. For this reason, I will never be hiring a vehicle again - not worth the cost or the stress.

One of the smoothest car rentals in Sydney. I was truly worried about finding a place I could…read moretrust. For one thing, there weren't many reviews of car rental places in Sydney. I could hardly find one on trip advisor too. So...after a few google search I finally opted to go with Budget rental car. Although it was a few miles walk from my hotel, I felt that it was going to be my best bet. Before my trip to Sydney, I made sure to print out my confirmation page showing every detail of my reservation. Once I got to the place, I showed them my confirmation email and provided my drivers license. The attendant went over every detail and finally told us to meet us at the pick-up area. It was a small walk up to a garage. And just like that, we got our small nissan car. The service was great and there was nothing to complain about. Thank you Budget rental car for making our visit as easy as possible. I highly recommend this place.
