All that was missing was the glass covering over the compass that sits at the base. We can live with that. This shop is located just behind the La Cigale markets, with parking onsite. I don't like this store plainly because I don't see the point of people dropping ridiculously large amounts of money on pots and pans and cutlery sets when there are people starving in the world. If you are into that extravagant sort of spending, then Galtons would be your sort of place. There's no denying its a beautiful store with some really beautiful things. The atmosphere just isn't that nice. If you're not a certain 'type' of person you're not really made to feel all that welcome.

If I had a lot of money I would certainly splash out on buying stuff here as it appeals to the artist in me. The only criticism I have of the shop is the silly Easter window display. There are a load of silly trees with ornamental eggs hanging from then. I could handle one of these but the whole window display was full of them and they detracted from the classiness of the shop.
