Stay far and away from this law firm. In my opinion they do very little to nothing and have very little knowledge on family law. They made several errors, multiple emails back and forth. Billed improperly, I spoke to 3 other attorneys and they could not believe what they charged for what little they did and the mistakes. The attorney Fred Seigenfeld Unprofessional. I hired Mr. Seigenfeld (Rick) as I had a time sensitive matter involving a post divorce judgment QDRO, that had yet to be resolved over the previous 5 years, since the divorce judgement. What should have been a simple matter to resolve, quickly became a very complicated and frustrating situation. Coming into this situation after a 30 year law enforcement career, as well as this situation's previous divorce proceedings, I can confidently state that I am writing this review objectively after having years of professional and personal experience with many attorneys in the criminal, family law and civil arenas. From my initial consultation through the end of the process, Rick and his staff were extremely helpful, and VERY patient during what was a very frustrating situation for me. From a personal perspective, when ever I had a question or didn't understand something, Rick, himself was always very accessible to answer my questions or ease my frustrations in a personable way. As were all of his staff. From a professional perspective, I couldn't have asked for more. Rick is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to his areas of practice. More importantly, If there is a unique situation he has not previously experienced, or is not expertly versed in, rest assured he will advise you of such and seek out more information from an expert in said area before moving on. Very disappointed!!! Fred was so unprofessional and never made an effort to communicate. I made several emails and phone calls and was always left in the dark. They said they would fight and be on top of everything but were not aware of court dates which made me lose. They forgot documents on the court date. I had a solid case since the opposing counsel messed up but still they could not manage to get their act together. A dog could do a better job than this law firm. Rick and his Team handled some of the hardest years of our family's life with professionalism, promptness and patience . This law firm knows absolutely nothing about unlawful detainer law despite their professing such on line. They shd not advertise such when they know nothing about it. Hubby and I wasted thousands of dollars hiring inept Seigenfeld for an unlawful detainer lawsuit. Not only did they know nothing, do nothing, not communicate with us, their paying clients, about what course of action they were taking, their work was laden with endless mistakes typos, errors, spelling mistakes, incorrect email addresses, etc. simply unacceptable. And Mr. Seigenfeld says "the Court doesn't care about typos or mistakes" are you kidding me? He should care! Their Answer to Complaint took repeating, do overs which because of their inexpertise and stupidity they charged us for. Even opposing counsel noted their "Answer to Complaint" was deficient. Documents they supposedly prepared and sent to county for recording were never sent to us, after numerous requests. Come to find out later, documents Mr. Seigenfeld said were sent to be recorded with the County, he never ever even sent. So add dishonesty to all this, negative 10 stars. Actually, Mr. Seigenfeld also refused to send us our client file at the end of our case, saying "we have it" no we do not, why would we ask for it? Another lie.
