Now, whenever I visit from LA, this is one of my favorite places to stop. Everything is well organized and clean, the employees are friendly and helpful, and they even carry my oat milk creamer for my coffee. Step in State Foods Supermarket. You can tell that this business is really trying to give Calipatria a nice store. Looks like there are all new frozen and refrigerated cases, as well as a new produce area , meat, deli and bakery. Though the bakery has yet to be serving, there is a pretty nice space for them with tables and chairs by the deli section. They are still in the early stages so I'm looking forward to tasting their offerings. Plus there is actual signage on the building! The grocer is are well organized with a good variety of products. Don't see what you need? Be sure to let the staff know. They want to be open to the communities needs. The bad part? Like many businesses they have to charge a premium. Thought prices was high at Vons? State foods is at least $2-$3 more. I really understand. Being in the middle of nowhere you pay more for the convenience. And convenience is what State Foods Supermarket is all about. Please check them out and do business with them when you can. Calipatria would really like this store to stick around.
