To all the staff members thank you very much for all your support and loyalty to my family, everything from going to the hospital and rehab center and reassuring mom was going to be back home soon. No matter what I said to Mr Ahart, he continued to pursue his agenda assuring me that he knew what was best. I was unable to get him to investigate the allegation of arson which I repeatedly told him did not occur. I am a veteran and I uphold the Constitution where I am given the inalienable right to due process. In this document, it also clearly states that I am innocent until proven guilty. I was unable to "prove my innocence" because my lawyer was clearly not on my side and refused to operate on my behalf. I am still suffering daily because of this incident. I was also coerced into taking a plea as they would not release me and I was misinformed by Mr Ahart regarding what the outcome would be. He is not an honorable attorney. I would never recommend him to someone who needed to be truly represented. I was not even able to contact him while incarcerated, even though he told me otherwise. Oh, I was informed by my mother that she had already paid him $5000. Therefore, she wouldn't fire him and I got a bunch of trumped-up charges for $5000 so no value for money either. Good luck.

Max's son, Barrick, is the one who assisted me and his concern for our family's well being and his motivation to make us whole again was clear from the very beginning. I called several law offices and told them our tragic story, and Barrick was by far the most genuine and caring lawyer. He was quick to discuss the technical and legal matters that could impede the case, and he (along with his assistant, Misty), immediately started working on a plan for us. I felt like Barrick really went the extra mile for us. In the end, we didn't have enough evidence to put the case together for wrongful death, but Barrick made sure we understood why and what we could do next. He is a true professional and works hard for people. I would recommend Barrick and the Max G Arnold law office in Redding, CA if you need legal help. They are very thorough and will really stick with you to the end, even if you don't go to trial.

So, I don't have a lot of love for attorneys. Most of them strike me as cutthroat, distant,…read morenarcissistic sharks who think studying the law entitles them to an arrogance the size of their law school debts. Throw in the fact I'm from a pretty economically challenged background and most attorneys waste more money on booze in a month than I make in ten years, it is really difficult to must a lot of respect for them. When someone close to me retained these law offices for their personal injury suit, I had no illusions that things would be different. However, I would soon eat my words. Whereas I believed that Max and his associate attorneys would be the epitome of privilege, they were anything but. Max set my loved one on an immediately treatment plan and there were weekly calls from his secretarial staff, asking how things were going and how the pain was. Even better, despite the poor credit, he was able to negotiate liens with all of the medical providers, so the treatment professionals weren't constantly hounding them for payment. When the case was finally litigated successfully, it was all thanks to the hard work of Max. I can't say enough positive things about his extremely professional staff, his in-depth understanding of the law and ultimately his total dedication to my loved one. I was initially apprehensive, because there really isn't a lot on the Internet about this guy, but his picture is on the back of the phone book. I don't know what that costs, but I don't imagine that it's particularly cheap, so eventually we reasoned he must have some kind of success to draw on. Since Yelp is our generation's word-of-mouth, I thought I'd hop on here and give Max some free publicity. If you want a decent attorney who will make sure to put their needs ahead of yours, pick any random name for a Rolodex and hope you don't drown in attorney's fees. But if you want the best and most fair attorney in the Bay Area who will put your needs first, I cannot stress this enough: call Max.
