It's easy to schedule an appointment with her. Sometimes she's not easy to see, because she participates in the Diabetes classes. I went to one. You learn a lot. You can get your blood drawn or urine checked in her office. There is a lab down the hall. If you need to go to the hospital, it's downstairs, down the hall. Everything is right there together.

In December 2023, I received a bill for $172.00 for a nebulizer I did not use and subsequently returned to the hospital's Durable Medical Equipment department on January 2024. I have a receipt confirming the return. I offered to pay for the unit as a rental since I had not used it, and returned the unit in new order. Despite confirming with my insurance company that no payment was made towards the nebulizer, I was informed by the billing department (representative: Tonya) that I was responsible for the remaining balance. I escalated the issue to the director, Amy, who left a voicemail stating the opposite. Amy said that despite me returning the unit, that my insurance had paid for it, so I needed to pick it up. I returned the item, why in the world would I pay for it? You don't purchase and item at a store, return it but not receive a refund. Simply idiotic. I confirmed with my insurance that ZERO dollars were paid to Susan B Allen Hospital. Amy is combative in her tone and her lack of desire to resolve this issue peacefully and professionally is quite concerning. I believe there is an error in the billing regarding this returned nebulizer. I have contacted the hospital directly to resolve this issue but have not received a satisfactory response. My next steps are to file a complaint with the Kansas Department of Health and Human Services, The BBB and other healthcare advocates to resolve this issue.

Receive random bills for preventative maintenance (physical) that is 100% covered by insurance…read moremonths after the physical is performed. this is the 2nd time this has happened to me. the first time i was not sure so i just paid the bill. This year I payed the copay ahead of time to avoid this and sure enough months later I get another random bill for my physical. I believe they will bill you months later for lower amounts (less than 50$) and hope you just pay it. (I used to do this). This year I paid attention and believe I am getting taken advantage of here. They are shady. Insurance covers a preventative physical including copay but not for Harder family practice. The only Dr. office this has happened to me at and this will be the last time I ever go there. Beware.

I showed up early because I had new insurance and thought it would take longer to get me registered. As I was sitting there, the receptionists were talking, loudly about how this particular one "isn't going to work on Monday because she just doesn't want to". Then when I get done with my appointment I go to schedule for a contact appointment, she gives me a date and time, I ask if there is anything earlier in the day, she all but rolls her eyes at me and says "no this time is the earliest we don't have a doctor here that does this kind of appointment" (in a very snarky tone). Then she told me that it will be $150 due at the time of that appointment, I told her that my insurance covers those appointments and she says "insurance DO NOT cover those types of appointments" I told her I would bring in my insurance benefits when I come in for that appointment for her to see and she says "I will just have her print them out, YOU don't need to do ANYTHING". My one star review is only because of this lady. It has been 5 hours and I'm still livid!
