The Blueberry Bliss smoothie is probably one of the best smoothies I've ever tasted! And this is…read morecoming from a lady who makes and drinks smoothies regularly. My smoothie standards are sky-high, and the smoothie that I had a Watercolor Cafe was amazing. It was so good that I made everyone at the table taste it, and we agreed: superb smoothie. The Blueberry Bliss has blueberries, banana, white chocolate and oak milk in it. I wish there were a little more nutritious (maybe throw in some flax, hemp seed and/or chia), but maybe that's why it's so delicious. Another delicious thing: the Peanut Butter Deluxe Toast, which is creamy peanut butter and sliced bananas with a drizzle of honey on wheat bread. Super tasty and filling! I got the avocado toast, and it wasn't my favorite. The avocado tasted more like packaged guacamole, and I got it with an egg, which is literally a hard-boiled egg that sits on top. Also, the toast was more like just a soft piece of bread. I mean, I guess technically, all of the components are there, but the execution needed some work. The breakfast burrito was super tasty (it came with chorizo), and one of my kids got the kids' mac and cheese, which came with a cookie. When these guys say that breakfast is served until 11 a.m., they really mean it! We visited around 10:50, wanting to order off of the lunch menu, but they didn't let us. I think the only lunchy offerings during breakfast time is the kids' menu. The seating inside is very cute: There's a craft station with paper, coloring books, and all kinds of colored pencils and things to create something at your table. Outside, you can sit on the patio and enjoy the view of the lake. Dogs are welcome on the patio and given water and a treat!

Not a lot of inside or patio seating. It's packed. 8 tables inside. 9-10 tables out on the patio…read more You order and then sit down. Ordered a chipotle turkey, bacon on the side, Michelangelo, snickerdoodle latte with oat milk latte, water bottle and a berry infused lemonade. The berry infused lemonade has some fake sugar in it, real sugar would make it better. The blueberries are still frozen, not fresh. Bummer. The snickerdoodle latte with oat milk was good. Flavorful. The chipotle chicken was tasty. The bread was nicely toasted. The Michelangelo was decent until my husband tried to bite into a piece of bone in the chicken. Not cool! Good thing he didn't break a tooth biting into it harder or swallow it whole in the middle of big bite. I did let the staff know about the bone in the chicken. I watched them all examine the bone in the back kitchen. The front desk woman offered to give a refund. I told her it's more important that she was made aware that it occurred than the refund. There are quite a few bees inside the patio. My husband got bitten on the back of his neck while eating lunch. Not a great lunch experience so far. Our Watercolor Cafe. 3 aggressive bees, one bee sting on the neck, bone chicken in the Michelangelo sandwich, frozen blueberries in the berry infused lemonade.

He even wished my mom a happy Mother's Day before taking our order, which was a nice touch. We started with the Street Corn Nachos as an appetizer, then ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a grilled portobello mushroom sandwich, both with fries on the side (an additional $4 each). This was an excellent place to bring my mom since she's vegetarian, and the restaurant had plenty of vegetarian-friendly options. The food was excellent, especially the nachos -- the queso was amazing. The restaurant also gives you a lot of customization options, like swapping chips for fries for an extra $4 or adding protein to the nachos for an additional charge. That said, while the nachos were really good, they were still $18 without any protein, which honestly felt overpriced for chips, cheese, and vegetables. We came during lunch service, and overall the food, service, and view made for a great experience. However, it is definitely on the expensive side. Most entrees seemed to range from around $20-30. Still, if you're willing to spend a little more for quality food, generous portions, and a great atmosphere, it's definitely worth visiting.

Three stars for the black coffee, and five stars for the hot chocolate…read more My child wanted a hot chocolate, and fortunately, Lucky Bean has a kid-sized cup. (It's not on the menu, but they do have a size smaller than 12 ounces -- just ask.) When the people behind the counter learned that the hot chocolate was for a child, these considerate people took the extra step to make the drink a little cooler in temperature than normal. And I didn't even have to ask! Because, you know, kids can't tolerate any type of food or drink that isn't tepid. I appreciated that thoughtfulness! I ordered a black coffee, and unfortunately, I didn't like it at all. It tasted burnt and like hot prune juice -- just not good. I'm sure the coffee tastes good in drinks with milk and sugar in them, but as a black coffee drinker, the black coffee needs to stand on its own. Lucky Bean is located off the main drag, in a cute little neighborhood. The inside of the coffee shop is tight -- there is barstool seating by the window, but mostly, this is a to-go coffee shop. It's small, and you can't really stay and drink your beverages here.

Plus, the locals love Lucky Bean, and you can't go wrong with a place that gets their stamp of approval. LB is a small shop with limited seating and standing room. I opted for an iced Sugar Loaf latte: white mocha, brown sugar and caramel drizzle. It was delicious! Highly recommend you swing by this place and stroll Market Street.

Lots of prepared food items in here…read more I wanted to eat a ton of food here, had it make it a quick trip so I wouldn't buy more food than I would be able to eat, plus we have no fridge in our hotel to keep the food. If you want a environmentally conscious, casual breakfast and lunch place without artificial…read moreadditives this is your spot. It is a fun location with plenty of seating, bright ambience and friendly staff. There is a parking lot out the back or street parking which is harder to find but doable. There are some options like smoothies and other 'healthy' choices which is what attracted us to drive over and try it out. Sadly given that I am vegan I found there to be very limited choices. The menu says vegan and gluten free options available but from I could tell only two things could be made vegan. It was disappointing but if we had really studied the menu I might have been more prepared. My husband tried the special of an olive filled cheese with Brussels sprout slaw which he throughly enjoyed. He said the olives were tangy and led to a great balance with the feta. It was a small portion so I shared with him so might not satisfy some for lunch. I ordered the power bowl with curried cauliflower, rice, sweet potatoes, avocados and black beans. It was pretty good but as I didn't want the cream (forgot to ask for vegan option but coconut yogurt was potentially available) it was not as creamy as possible. I think a cashew cream would have been the best option. The potato salad side was pretty bland as well, so not the best choice. I had to add tons of pepper to season it, which I try to never do but go with the chefs preference. Not an option here. My suggestion would be to have one totally vegan you don't have to ask to change anything option so as to be welcoming to those of us 'crazies' as in a new spot it is just hard to catch all the subtleties of menus. It reminded me of a healthy version of Panera to be honest. Good but not my first choice. Thus my 3 stars as if you are going to tout yourself as the healthy option then make more room for those doing optional lifestyles.
