This is…read moreprobably one of the worst places for any animal to be -- if I didn't have to return the kitten I got from them to them, due to a clause in their contract, I would have rather her to Lexington Humane Society or give her to someone who could have cats/kittens (unfortunately my apartment turned into a no animals allowed unless it's a service animal). They aren't honest with you about the cats/kittens whether you call the humane society or whether you call petsmart. We adopted a kitten and her whole face got bloated, her eyes were red and watery, swollen, and she was sneezing hardcore. I don't usually own cats so I called and asked them about it, they were completely clueless. "yeah, maybe some dust got in her face and she started sneezing." Puh-lease. I was born at night, but not last night. I googled and used tik tok and found out she had a respiratory infection. So I had to use more money to go help her out because the vet said that she has had it since she was born so it would be a reoccurring thing, but PAWS told me that she was perfectly healthy. I then found out I had to return her because of my apartment no longer being pet friendly, and I could not get grandfathered in even tho I had asked. They were so hard to get ahold of until I finally could and I asked if we could pay cash or card, they said either. I told them I didn't get paid for a couple days after I drop off, is there any extra fees? They told me no, then told my partner once they got there, it was 13 dollars, with the card fee and if "we didn't have it, then we had to take her back." Despicable place. PETSMART should get rid of their partnership or whatever they have with them. And someone should probably go close them down. Never EVER adopt from them or take your animals there. Horrible people who work there with no empathy and horrible environment for animals.

They have helped me spay and neuter six feral cats that have shown up on our farm, helping to decrease the population of unwanted kittens being born out in the wild.

It's nice to have a YMCA in such a small city. The prices are good for the membership and they…read moreoffer lots of classes. There is an indoor and outdoor pool too. The only thing I think is lacking is the jacuzzi and wave pool that I've seen at other facilities but what they have to offer for a small city facility and the prices is perfect.

Mhmhm...maybe…read more Unfortunately we found Yuko-en On The Elkhorn to be a bit underwhelming. The water in the ponds were either this unnatural blue color, or completely covered in a mossy algae film, and there were no fish of any kinds in the ponds. The pathway to walk was okay, pretty over grown. However the worst part of it all was the smell. The entire area smelled so strongly of sewage and bathroom smell, it was so unpleasant. Pretty disappointed in our lack of experience here but I'm sure with a little TLC the place could become much better.

We visited midmorning Wednesday and enjoyed an hourlong walk along the meandering pathway through…read morethe property. It would easily take more time to explore each nook and cranny of this beautiful space. We parked in the large gravel lot and stopped to check out the info board, entrance plaques, and admire the large doors in the entry gate. The path wound through the property past many interesting sculptures and trees marked with identifying tags. The largest feature is the large koi pond and has a pleasant waterfall feature at one end and large landscaped beds at the opposite side. There are also smaller ponds and water pathways (dry beds in August) with multiple bridges to allow for great views. One of the pathways wound down to a creek area and another rose up to a higher overlook point on an abandoned train trestle. This garden park was showing a bit of stress with the extended timing of late August heat for the past few weeks. Many of the hydrangeas were beyond salvaging for late blooming, which is just nature having its way. Would like to return next spring to explore further since there are multiple paths and limited time during this visit. Location is approximately an hour's drive from Louisville.
