Because I've never been to an adult entertainment club before, and may as well make up for that lost past experience at the very same place (almost). It pretty much IS the same place though (if a memory somewhat clouded by embarrassment can be relied upon). There's still the questionable steps taking you below the Abner's Cheesesteaks restaurant above, there's still a nominal cover (I think maybe it was $5 before, now it's $7), still a dark and Spartan-looking interior. That's where my memory ended, and where this experience begins. We sat at the bar which was shaped into a large geometric space, the inside of which also contains the majority of the poles that the dancers used. Very few bartenders, who are generally inattentive after giving you your initial order (of expectedly overpriced drinks). There are television sets the walls, surrounding the bar so you can shift your attention from the dancers, to the televisions, and back again. I can't imagine what the situation would be like if a sports event were being broadcasted live. So, on to the dancers (because that's what everyone is most curious about, right?) They were all very pretty, and almost all of them used the poles (some more effectively than others) as part of their dance performances. Body types varied, so whatever your preference (if it's for women) might be, you're likely to see it here. Some of the performances were a lot more enthusiastic than others. I'll leave that to your imagination. Several of the dancers hung around the bar talking to patrons, trying to get tips and/or offering...personalized entertainment?...in the private rooms. A few seemed to come out of nowhere (I hadn't seen one of the girls who came up to us do any kind of dancing), but the majority had finished their dances and then went to talk to the patrons who they'd noticed watching them. So, keep that in mind, because it could get awkward if you're watching the performance of someone that you don't necessarily want to talk to after. If they do talk to you, yes, they will ask for tips, a lot, but isn't that kind of expected if you've watched them dance? Not sure what so many other reviews are complaining about with that. Some of the dancers are friendlier than others about how they ask (sometimes very friendly), but I don't find it off-putting that they do this, regardless of approach. The dancers are really the only good thing about this place. Some were seriously impressive in their performances, some were especially beautiful to look at, and some were very friendly and enthusiastic. Otherwise, the atmosphere was pretty tasteless, and I had to chase down the bartender to finally pay for our drinks, (and she tried to overcharge us until I told her that I'd been told the price when the drinks were brought out, and then she backed off). If I could give it two and a half stars but I can't, and two stars would be "Meh, I've experienced better," which is not true (for now).

They charged her money to never dance on the stage, every single employee was on their phone everywhere. The bartender, the DJ, ALL the dancers. I heard later when she FINALLY got 3 dances with a customer HOURS later. The guy by the dancer room said she did 4 and he told her she owed him extra money. She immediately contested. He ran away, got a manager with the bald head and he just fired her immediately without showing her any proof. I then later heard from other dancers that worked there that if you do "honest dances" [don't do anything extra] they charge you extra money or fire you since the manager wants to exploit women and this place is a well known whore house. Don't go here! Don't eat here! Don't work here! I've been to clubs all over the country and this is one of the sadder experiences I witnessed. The show lacked talent other than 3 dancers who did not come on stage until 2nd act. Humor was lacking that spark. Just seemed like a show to stage beginners. Again, if they had taken the 3 dancers who had the most experience and had them dance in the 1st 1/2 as well as the 2nd and did less time plugging T-shirts, Hoodies and a $5 picture taking op at the end of the show, maybe that would have left more time for talented dancing and longer routines. This is not our first Burlesque show and did not expect a Vegas style show, by no means, but I would expect something worth bragging about. For the couple that sat next to us, as this was their first show ever, I told them to go to the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA next Valentine's day and see Burlesque-A-Pades In Loveland! with Angie Pontani. Now THAT is far superior show with very talented ladies and gents. And good comedy even laced into the dance routines.
