Like others whom have given a poor review, I too have received a bouquet of flowers which were not fresh. I paid $370 taxes included for a bouquet of Ohara roses for my wife's birthday which to her disappointment, started wilting after 2 days. When I sent the complaint when the flowers were fully wilted after 4 days, the store basically said that we were SOL and refused to provide any type of compensation or attempt to make it right for us. They started making up false facts just to avoid responsibility, mentioning that the varietal only had a vase life of 5 days when according to multiple verified sources, Ohara roses have a vase life of 9-12 days. Oh that's not to mention also that the flowers were supposed to be delivered on the day of her birthday for the 1 - 5 pm window but they ended up arriving at 11 pm, well after the events were over. Very unprofessional, unreliable, and not worthy of operating a business. There are many other florists that do a much better job at a lower price, for example Blooming One. Originally I wasn't going to have flowers but my mom convinced me so the day before I am frantically looking for a florist near me and I found Secret Garden. The staff were incredibly helpful by showing me different options I could have however their pre-built bouquets are expensive (most flower shops are though) so I decided to make my own! I selected purple roses (as they seemed to have every colour of rose available!!) and the floralist helped me pick out some additional pieces that would make the bundle look more full. They even asked me about the colour of wrapping I wanted and ribbon!! We ended up matching the ribbon to my roses and it was beautiful. I really appreciated their flexibility especially since I wanted to pick it up the next morning, which was possible due to the simple design I had. I haven't given a five star yet but I think this place truly deserves it. Walking near Finch station to pick up our food, I hear this girl shouting something in the background ,holding roses and pamphlets. Thinking she was selling something, I didn't pay much attention or bother to engage. As I looked back, I see a few people holding flowers around the girl smiling cheerfully. Curious now,I asked my bf what she was yelling out and he tells me, "free roses". Intrigued now, on our way back to the car, I approach the girl. She tells me, they are giving away free roses every Friday to spread the happiness and put a smile on people's faces. All I need to do is bring the pamphlet to the store and pick a rose then they will wrap it for me! No purchases required! Well she was right , there were no gimmicks! Currently living between Toronto / San Francisco and wanted to send flowers for a friend's birthday. Recalled seeing Secret Garden on social media, as well as seeing the outside of the shop from frequenting Yonge & Finch. I decided to give them a try without reading any reviews. While my friend appeared to love her flowers, I had mixed feelings with my purchasing experience. I wish this floral shop was transparent with their pricing. I purchased the Memoire flower basket online for $169 and paid $15 for them to be delivered to an address downtown. The next day I received a text message from the shop requesting more money for delivery, putting me in an awkward position. At first I thought the shop had mixed up my billing and shipping address, but the florist quoted me an additional $10 bringing delivery fees to $25 to an address 15 km away from their shop along Yonge St (they claimed it was 23-25km during our interaction, but according to Google maps that is if they took a longer route). Although the person I spoke with was kind and respectful, the whole incident gave me a bad impression which I had expressed in our conversation. I understanding requesting more for delivery if the address was much further up north, but I imagine this shop frequently gets requests to deliver downtown and their website's pricing should be updated to properly reflect that! Messaging customers for more money after they paid the amount agreed upon is not a good feeling. If I had known delivery would cost an absurd amount for such a short distance, I wouldn't have ordered from Secret Garden and stuck with my original florist. read more

I love flowers, and I've had them myself or as a gift. I am enjoy to spend money on beautiful things. I have been looking for a suitable flower shop for long term use. To be honest, the shopping experience in this store was really depressing. The way they charged me was "extremely detailed," For example，they won't tell you how much it will cost you unless you asked. I ordered flowers there, and they required you to pay at least double-digit price. All services and things in this store are charged individually（even though some decorative materials were given away for free at other florists）.But in their view you are like a lamb to be slaughtered. They don't have a basic price, everything is subject to their ridiculous exorbitant prices. When you ask for a price, they will give you a price regardless of whether it is reasonable or not. If you ask for more details, you will be informed that there are additional charges.But the problem is I don't see anything special except they have a higher price than other florists. If you're looking for something in particular, I'd suggest you DM them on Instagram to find out what is possible and how much it would cost. Their bouquets are wrapped together so so nicely and the service is great! My boyfriend and I purchased a beautiful monstera and a white ceramic pot from Secret Garden and it's grown into such a beautiful plant in the past few months!
