Getting to the point, the market is no longer there. I saw a u-haul stall. and a bunch of deserted lots. I dont think it's been there for years.

A couple of weeks ago two men came into Brown's Produce as Mr. Brown was closing up beat up and robbed Mr. Brown. Mr. Brown is one of the nicest people on this earth. One day I was shopping there and a lady came in and told him she had no money and was in need of food to feed her family, Mr. Brown walked around packing food up and gave it to the lady free of charge. How many people in this world would do that? Not many!

Although I put in for home delivery, the system changed it to pickup. I was told I had to pay a $25 delivery fee to get my order when expected. They had lots of Christmas displays, pictures with Santa or the Grinch, hot cocoa, hot cider donuts, snow machine, hay ride through the light displays, boucy pad, giant bay bales for climbing, free parking, and fire pits witch plenty of seating. They also have a great farm store that sells their homemade jelly, salsa, cookies and grass fed meats. If you like to support local, these people have put a ton of effort into this! It was a really fun night and all of the Childers around us had a blast! The people were incredibly friendly! I highly recommend checking it out!

We went for the first time for the spring egg hunt and that was fun. But I must say that this recent trip for the fall exceeded my already high expectations. The spooky hayride was fun and not too scary (we had children from 2-12 years old). We enjoyed the many different play structures and inflatables, corn field maze, feeding the animals (they have newborn piglets right now), and even the food trucks that they had onsite. Oh, and their apple cider slushies are a 10/10! I would go back for that alone. Plan at least 4 hours to able to do everything that they have available

Extremely Disappointing and Unacceptable Experience!…read more We had an absolutely terrible experience at this farm. The way this staff member treated us was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and discriminatory. We paid admission for five people, yet he made a big issue out of my young son choosing a pumpkin. He judged my son based on his small appearance and decided that he didn't deserve to pick a pumpkin because he looked younger than three years old. This was absolutely ridiculous and humiliating. My son was simply excited to pick a pumpkin like everyone else. Instead of making this a fun family experience, this employee turned it into an upsetting situation that made my children cry. What makes this even worse is the way he spoke to and treated our family. His attitude was unacceptable, and we felt discriminated against and unwelcome. We paid customers like everyone else, and our children deserve the same respect and treatment as any other child. No employee should have the right to embarrass a child or make them feel less deserving than others. I strongly do NOT recommend this place based on our experience. A family farm should be a place where children feel happy, welcome, and included -- not a place where they leave crying because of an employee's rude behavior. Management seriously needs to address this kind of treatment.

We were offered some bug spray and also told that because of the rain it would be muddy and buggy out there. I wore some knee high rubber boots so I was ready! Row upon row of plump beautiful blueberries were just waiting to be picked, and in only about an hour and a half we had already filled our buckets. The price can not be beat for this quality. We paid only $20 for alllllll those berries and the buckets and two waters. I made muffins, bread, cobbler, pie, savory flatbreads, simple syrup, a sauce for pork, and frozen dog treats! This was a really fun activity that also provided some delicious treats!

The place was easy to find and once you see the sign, drive straight and then take a right at the end. You'll see other cars and the picnic tables/weigh area. They had free bug spray, sunscreen, and stuff for sale like popsicles for $1, ice cream for $2, water for $.50, Uncrustables for cheap, etc. They lend you baskets, but they charge for the use and she said something about returning them. I would ask them for more details, because we didn't borrow them, so I may be wrong. We brought our own and they weigh the basket beforehand so they don't charge your basket's weight. Bring your own... even a tupperware works! We brought oversized cups-- like you get at a movie theatre. Worked great and easy to hold. The only worker we met was very nice. She was helpful and polite. Only one critique because it bothered me... there's a short newspaper clipping hanging near the picnic tables (from 2008?) interviewing Mama Carter and she mentioned (IMO unnecessarily) that their great (great?) grandfather has deep NC roots and would often don his confederate army gear. It was almost written as a point of pride and as an American who believes in equal rights and civil rights, I would not find that to be something to boast about. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Being interviewed, you can share many things about your family's history that show pride about living in NC but celebrating how your family roots date back to supporting racist, slave-owning efforts was a bummer. I encourage the current owners, probably family members, as the Carters have passed away, to consider taking that clipping down and celebrate their long legacy of blueberry planting/harvesting in a more inclusive way.
