Super uncool. I was in town overnight to visit a friend and I parked in her half-empty apartment lot. Apparently there was signage indicating that it was tenant-only but it was unclear and placed way past the entry to the lot, not in front of any of the spaces, and it was dark. I woke up at 8 to my car booted and a sticker (which left a lot of residue) on my car window saying that I would need to call their number and pay $110 to have it removed. I parked on a saturday between the hours of 8pm and 8am and it was my first offense. I called the number and I went straight to voicemail, after which they texted me "Do you want to pay card or cash." Overall super unprofessional. I've been sitting in my car for almost 30 minutes waiting for the driver to get here and take it off. They said they were dispatched a while ago. Obviously, would not recommend! read more

Tow truck driver tried to to me when being parked at my niece's house. Was inside under 5 min to pick her up. Came outside didn't say it was my car he told me x amount to drop it. Car wasn't hooked up nor lifted. He told my friend way more than he told me. He started to yell at us for not getting payment talking about each one of us. The landlord told him we had permission to be there which set him off more. His dispatch was a rude lady who sounded to be coming down from a bender. Both were very rude, confrontational, and used unnecessary language. When packing up the bars he put in front and behind my tires( just bars, no hooks, chains, nor anything connected to tow truck was on my car). He continued to talk about my niece. Whoever this guy was rude and a scam arrest at its finest. Be aware out of the 5 cars in the lot mine was the newest, he typed me as a rich brat and was wrong. read more

Let's be honest, no one likes towing companies because it can be painful to give up money for parking somewhere you shouldn't. However, everyone should take responsibility however they can with whatever they can -- especially when you're not in a full-time job as a college student. Certain towing places make sure the process of retrieving your car, especially in a college town, is as PROFESSIONAL and painless as possible. At Second Chance Towing, you are coming across one specific caller who will yell over the phone at you, blatantly be disrespectful, and demand money as if it is hers. First off I pulled in front of my daughters home to pick her up, went in to get her, came straight out (not even 2 min) and a guy is leaned against his tow truck and has something half on my vehicle. Tells my friend it will be $60 to take it off. I said that's not happening. I am picking my daughter up! She is moving! He then says well it will be $100 to take it off. First off he had to be waiting for people to get out of their cars and immediately pulls in behind them and makes them think he's going to tow them. Unless they give him whatever he thinks up in his head he should be owed. He calls a female on speaker that says she don't care it's getting towed. I for one am not a young girl who will allow these people to take advantage of us. I tell her my car is going nowhere, called the landlord "Barbara" and the lady said if it's not "Chris" take the car! First who is Chris?? The landlord had to talk into the phones speaker to let her know all is good but these people are taking so much advantage of the children on campus. There would have been police there had they not listened to the actual owner of the house. These people are Just following, waiting for them. One student left her hazard lights on to pick up an order and came out to a them there with a hand out for money. Ridiculous! This is a scam and criminal. I understand towing companies do their job when necessary and I respect that but this business is a sham! Ridiculous and he was trying to get us to argue with him, trashing the kids there and everything. Surely they know some of us have a lawyer on stand by!
