‼Sexual Harassment Warning‼ I experienced sexual harassment at this pool on July 21, 2026, at around 7:10 PM, and I have already reported the incident to the police. A white male repeatedly followed me around the pool and intentionally positioned himself so that my feet came into contact with his genital area multiple times. When I confronted him directly about his behavior, he said, "Thanks for the touching, I really appreciate it." I immediately started recording the conversation on my Apple Watch and asked him why he "appreciated" it. After I confronted him, he appeared startled and quickly tried to leave. I immediately reported the incident to the lifeguard, but he went into the men's change room and fled before staff could identify him. What is especially concerning is that the facility was unable to identify the individual because there was no record of his entry, and I was informed that there are no security cameras. This made it impossible to verify his identity or track his movements after the incident. I hope the facility reviews its safety procedures, including visitor access and surveillance, so that incidents like this can be investigated properly and other visitors can be better protected. read more

This is not a review of the pool -- it like great and is heated! -- but of the concession stand. A tip of the hat toT whoever runs the concessions stand. Young people took or order and produced a tasty, inexpensive mean in the middle of Stanley Park. And kudos for having Korean hotdogs, ramen and pretty darn good grilled salmon burgers. This wasn't fine food, but it sure was better than what I expected from a concession stand in a public park. read more

We didn't pay to go in to swim but we scored an awesome spot (paid parking). We explored the low tides instead. The pool is 5 feet in depth. It's pretty amazing to have this for the public to enjoy. I saw ramen noodle soup at the kiosk where you can buy snacks and food. There was also a local berry/cherry farm stand. Nothing too special about the Okanagan Cherries though. I'd like to explore Stanley Park restaurants one of these days. They make it bike friendly. read more

Vancouver residents are so fortunate to have these water front pools! This is probably the biggest pool I've ever seen, and reads like a beach with much less murky water and controlled admission so it never feels too crowded! We reserved our evening time slot online, and the admission process was a smooth one. It's also relatively inexpensive (love that they offer adult + child combo tickets, senior pricing, etc.) The water slides are a nice touch, especially as they enter into waters that aren't too deep. Sure wish I could pass this idea on to my own city! read more

Nice but crowded beach area on the SW side of Stanley Park. Parking is available in the non-free lots in this area. The area is always crowded in the summer, as there are some fields here, as well as a concession stand and a large outdoor pool. Not sure what's happening to it exactly though, as it has been fenced off for a while. The roads and paths get a little funky here. Be sure to take the correct one, or one may end up at English Bay instead of the Georgia Street entrance, or vice versa. read more

A first time here and this place didn't disappoint me. 5 star for me. The pool area is huge and perfectly heated. Three slides for infants to toddlers ages. Three lane lap pool for adults. The lounging part consist of 20% grass and remainder was good ole concrete. Concessions was good we had burgers with fries and kids had chicken tenders and fries. Change room was large size and simple with benches. Onsite parking can be found if your willing to go early and find it. There is also a playground nearby with lots of grass and picnic tables too. Reason for such a high rank was the incredible value (family of 4 was little over $13). This day of age was stunning and awesome. Overall will be back for future visits. read more

Walking north on the seawall from Yaletown toward Stanley Park, this beach is the third of four in total that you will encounter (see my reviews on Sunset and English Bay beaches). All four are fairly close to each other geographically but all four have very distinctive features and "vibes". Second Beach is similar to the others in that the beach is well maintained and there are bathrooms here. There's a parking lot adjacent to the site (like at Sunset Beach), and a huge grassy field abutting the beach, complete with nearby playground equipment for the kids. Perfect place for a picnic! This large field is where they have free outdoor family movies in the summertime (check the schedule online), as well as the starting and/or finish line for many 5k or 10k races. There is a large concession stand with picnic benches in front. In the summer months, I smell the fish and chips cooking and, I swear, they small SO SO GOOD. I've never stopped to get food here but I keep saying I must (for just the fish and chips! Reminds me of my Cape Cod summers). There's a Shaw-to-Go bike rental right here by the concession stands, and if you cross the street you will access the trail that loops around Lost Lagoon and forks into the Stanley Park interior at the far end of the "lagoon". The most distinctive feature of Second Beach is its pool. It is stunning. Large and round and jutting right out on the water, it has skilled lifeguards there and swimming instructors, too. I see swimming classes taking place in the summer mornings, and I honestly can't imagine a prettier pool in which to swim. There are lap dividers for more accomplished swimmers to do laps, and an area cordoned off for youngsters, in a shallow end, complete with colorful animal-designed slides. Because of the playground area, the picnic meadows, the concession stand selling hot foods, the proximity to Lost Lagoon, the pretty beach and the fabulous pool, Second Beach is super popular with families with young kids. This beach has the most children than the others. As a result, the bathrooms are least likely to be clean, and yes, you'll see a lot of running, happy kids, and hear a lot of kids laughing and yelling in the summer months. I personally like this vibrant, happy atmosphere, but if you don't like kids, this wouldn't be the best beach for you to visit. read more

We just rode our bikes past here but stopped LLC g enough to see lots of happy kids and day campers, several lifeguards and a price of only $3 per person with a family discount. Gorgeous setting, too. Just a beautiful pool. read more

Ahhhh second beach pool. Closed most of the year but open all summer long!! this is one of the most beautiful pools to swim at. I like to come here on a saturday morning when it first opens and swim laps. Outdoor in the crisp morning air with hardly anyone else in the pool.. what is better than that?? During the day, especially on a hot day, the pool can get pretty crowded but if you can brave the crowds and stake out a piece of real-estate around the pool it is a great place to look out on english bay and watch to whole world go by. This pool is part of the vancouver parks board so they are more than happy to use your flex pass from any other community centre... oh and don't forget your quarter for the lockers if you need one. I love the idea of having an outdoor swimming pool right by the water. For people like me, where I don't want my kids playing in the ocean water or sand (sometimes), the pool is ideal! We can still get the ocean breeze and view but in a clean area where I don't have to worry about salt water or constantly cleaning sand off our mats. For only around $3 a person(family price), kids 3 and under free. (No time limit!) Come early, as a huge line will start forming after 2pm. You can bring your own shade tents or umbrella, food and snacks. Or if not, they sell fruits and fish and chips, burger, right outside of the pool! Just remember to get a stamp and come right back in! read more

This is a fantastic pool in a stunning location. It's a great place to take the family - the entire pool is no more than about 4 feet deep and it has 3 water slides of varying degrees of difficulty. While the pool itself and the view is idyllic, its location does mean there's not a lot of shade. The floor of the pool is very rough too - it's great to avoid slipping, but the first time I went, I spent most of the time kneeling with the kids and ended up sandpapering through the nail on my big toe! Bear these things in mind and you'll have a great time here. It's one of the things that makes living in Vancouver so great. read more

This pool gets big points for its picturesque location beside the ocean. It's a cool place to unwind if you can grab one of the few chairs on deck. Also great for length swim. I'm a fan of the slow, medium, fast lane segregation. Went on a sunny Sunday and there was loads of room. What the pool is lacking are proper facilities. I had to run barefoot through the concession stand to use theirs a couple times. Also, was really hoping it would be saltwater like at Kits Pool. read more

Kids loved it. Stanley park is amazing in general and this place was great. Its a great pool with a shallow end as well as two small water slides. It was a bit chilly out for me buy my kids loved it. The place is clean and the pool is quite large so that there is room to play. Its also located close by a playground in the park so its a good way to spend an afternoon. read more

First open weekend of the year and i had a lane all to myself. Heaven. I almost didn't venture over because I was a little afraid of the crowds, but I remembered how, for some reason, even when the rest of the pool is crowded, the lanes are very rarely so (only exception maybe 5-6pm weekdays). I spent a lovely afternoon at the Second Beach Pool today. It was large and never felt crowded even though there were lots of people. There are three dedicated lap lanes (slow, medium and fast) and as well an enormous free space that never goes above 5 feet. There are a couple of things I wish I had known in advance to make my time even better: 1. Bring your own chair. There are maybe 2 dozen chairs that are taken as soon as the pool opens. Bring your own comfy lounger and you will be set. 2. Bring your own shade. There are a few scant trees around the far perimeter and nothing else. Bring an umbrella or some other type of shade device for some relief from that hot sun. 3. Hold it. The bathrooms are absolutely gross- try to hold it if you can! The bathrooms/changing area are outside of the pool gate so if you need to go, you will have to get your hand stamped to allow you to re-enter the pool without paying again. There are separate change rooms that don't have doors or curtains on the stalls. Bring a large towel to drape over the door for a somewhat private changing experience. Don't look at the floor, walls or anything in between... all dirty, so gross :( 4. Bring your own food and water. There are some over priced convenience food available at the snack bar but you are better off both health and wallet wise to pack some goods from home! read more

After biking the seawall and sticking our toes in the sand on one of the first summer days Vancouver has had this year, we needed to stop and refuel. We decided we may as well grab a bite to eat at the concession on Second Beach since there were picnic tables available. The lineups for food were pretty long, in fact I was surprised that the bathroom lineups for the ladies room were shorter, since being a female usually means you have mastered the pee-pee dance. But I was in and out of that bathroom before the BF had even gotten up to order. The bathrooms are public, so you can imagine what they are like, you basically have to hold your breath when you go in like you're swimming underwater and pray to god that you can get your business done quickly enough to get out of there alive. There's always toilet paper on the ground and children running around half naked from the swimming pool outside. The seats are never clean, so you have to squat like a ninja and hope that there is handsoap when you get out. At the concession I ordered the veggie burger and a small fries. The veggie burger was mostly bun, and was drier than the Sahara desert. It was as though I had a mouthful of sand and saltene crackers all at the same time. I pumped a pile of ketchup and mustard on that beast but it still didn't go down too well. The fries were okay, and you get a lot for a small order, but you have to put your own salt on, and of course when you go to use the salt shaker, way more comes out than you had anticipated so now you have a bowl of salt with a side of fries. I paid $3 for a small Dasani bottled water, which they must be making a fucking mint of off. How many people drink water when they bike the seawall or after they've taken a dip in the public piss pool? Perhaps if I had half a brain I would have brought my own bottled water. In any case, I didn't finish my lunch even though I felt like I earned it for spending the whole day biking through the park and working up an appetite. Next time, I'll just bike over to Denman and get some real street eats. read more

I have actually been here a few times, at least a minimum of 3 times each summer. There aren't a lot of outdoor pools. On a hot day this place is packed, therefore, patience is required, especially since there are a lot of little ones around. The prices have gone up since last year but it is still one of the better things to do in the summer during the day. I just like to chill and look at the scenic outdoor background. This is in a park, beautiful pool with the scenery of Vancouver in the background....reminds you of some of the hidden gems in the city that we forget about. read more
