When the new "pastor," Chris Kouba came on staff as…read morethe lead pastor, he fired everyone who had been serving at this church faithfully for years. He's very charismatic, but charm is deceptive. He forced each of the people he fired to claim that was their choice to leave, and when they refused to do so, he publicly lied about them. People who were devoted to God were told they were not wanted in the band or worship teams, solely because they were not attractive or young enough. My family were members of this church for 18+ years, and when some of my family approached Kouba about how they did not agree with what happened under his leadership, he told my family they were not welcome back. I have since found a new congregation, but so many people stopped attending any church and have abandoned their faith because of the actions of the leadership of this church. 1 Timothy 3:7 states that the overseer of a church must have a good reputation with those outside of his flock, lest he be disgraced. Please take it from someone who was on the inside, this man is a disgrace, and a wolf in sheep's clothing. Protect your family and your children.

So, the next day (Sunday, January 1, 2017) I brought my family. Before bringing my family to the Lighthouse Church, I had to drag them to church, now they are ready before me on Sundays and Tuesdays for service. The Lighthouse Church is a great place to worship God. The atmosphere is God-filled! My daughter is growing in the Teens' worship services in leaps and bounds. My son and his friends are inspired by Pastor Henderson and the way he preaches God's Word and I could not be happier. I know my family has been truly blessed since we joined. The preaching and teaching of God's Word given by Pastor Henderson is clear enough for a child to understand and yet solid enough for an adult to be fed, inspired and lead to serve God. The service is simply "Blessed" and if you've never been, you should stop by and your life will be forever blessed by the experience. I'm a witness!!!

The pastors messages are always thoughtful and engaging, love the atmosphere and the praise! No where else I've found in this area I've wanted to attend more, or felt closer to God. There's a few churches and other ministries under this organization, but members of this organization meet regularly every other week, but they also do impromptu pop ups which we love.
