I being working in the food and beverage and hospitality industry for over 14 years and this is my honest review. This place was on my "places to go list" for over 4 years. Finally went with my family to celebrate my birthday. We had a reservation for 9 people. First thing I noticed, none of the servers introduced themselves to us, at the end of the night we couldn't figure who was our server, is like nobody wanted to attend us, resulting in the service being so erratic. They offered appetizers, we ordered the croquettes, without being asked how many orders of that we wanted, since it was a big group, they just assumed that we wanted a whole croquette for each person, charging me 3 orders without letting us know, I would probably order more different appetizers than more of the same. They end up charging us 6 big bottles of water ($6 each), without asking if we wanted more water, I didn't even see them opening so many bottles. They offered a cold cut table at the beginning, we were 4 seated at the moment, because we were waiting for the rest of the group to arrived. They end up charging that table for 4, $64 DOLLARS!, for just a little bit of prosciutto & cheese. Also in their menu they had the truffle pasta listed as Market Price, my sister ordered and expected fresh truffle shaved, when arrived, it was store bought truffle spread, it doesn't make any sense, having something as market price and it isn't fresh, they didn't tell her the price for that, and charged her $55 for that pasta. My husband ordered a $46 dish of lamb chops, sadly the only good thing was the lamb, the mashed potatoes tasted old & horrible and the veggies were unseasoned and raw. At the end my mother wanted them to sing for me, since it was my birthday, they gave the excuse that the girl that sings didn't show up at work that day. What an excuse, I would prefer that they tell me truth about they don't sing, because restaurant's policy or something like that. My birthday was ruined in this place, by the lack of service, overpriced menu items, and their system designed to scam customers. This place is overrated, don't spend your money in this place.

I thought I had seen everything there is to see in Old San Juan. Anyone who really knows me, knows I am enamored with this place. But as I stop writing to eat, I walked into a hidden Italian treasure. Everything about this place is amazing!! I had the lamb chops: super yummy!! If you come by plane, or by cruise, make sure you stop here!!!!

Esta en un area un poco incómoda, junto con tiene poco espacio. La comida es deliciosa y única. Con una cantidad de vinos italianos que no he visto en algún otro sitio.

The big elephant in the room with this restaurant are the prices. A $20 pizza, really?! Dominos pizza is right down the street along with smells of urine, feces, and homeless people sleeping outside. Yes, the ambiance was beautiful but the lack of toppings, cheese, and a thin crust does not warrant a $20 price tag. I should've walked right out of the restaurant but decided to stay to see if somehow I would be blown away. This did not happen. I can appreciate they had more than just Jose Cuervo tequila. For some reason many restaurants in Puerto Rico on serve Jose Cuervo and Patron, both of which I do not like.

Once you go black pizza you'll never go back. Try the pizza Nero! It's got squid ink in the dough and it's delicious.

Dough made of squid ink. The best pizza I've had in ages!

The service was great, our waiter was very knowledgeable and top of the line on each aspect of our dining experience. The food was exquisite, a must try is their Pizza Nera, where the dough is made of squid ink. Surprisingly delicious. The steak was also to die for.

It's a cozy little restaurant that was perfect for our recent short stay in Old San Juan. I was impressed with the wine list, which featured sparkling, white, orange, rose, and red options by the glass and of course a more extensive list of bottles. I opted for two different sparkling options, a Pineau d'Aunis (rose) from the Loire Valley (strawberry notes) and a Verdeca (white) from Puglia (melon, white flowers). I drink a lot of wine and have never heard of these grapes at all, so they were fun to check out and delicious to boot. We also tried a number of different bites. They were all good, but these were the most memorable: Apio gnocchi - delightfully pillowy and nutty Dulce de papaya and prosciutto - lightly sweet and savory all at once. This might be an even better version of the more popular prosciutto and melon dish. Partamra olive oil cake - so lemony and moist Beet ice cream - this was wild! For sure my first time trying beet ice cream. It was barely sweet and had a very thick, almost custard-like texture. Special shout out to the staff, who were all so nice and chill and knowledgeable.

I had an awesome palate experience. I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. We tried…read morealmost all the entrees

AMBIANCE: Parking: Welcome to Old San Juan, it get get pretty busy - best to carpool or do public transportation. Seating: Indoor seating or private cabana set ups for groups. Room for a total of 100 people. Feels: Welcome to Old San Juan, a mix of touristy and culture. The spot itself is popular for locals and tourists. As for the space itself, what's unique about this spot is this place isn't just one bar. It's actually a series of connected rooms (about 6-7 different spaces), each with its own vibe - speak easy, dance, casual, house, live music and more! I'm surprised each room can contain it's sounds while maintaining its own energy. It feels like a speakeasy maze meets nightlife experience. Dim lighting, vintage touches, and just enough chaos in a good way. DRINKS/EXPERIENCE It was such a fun night, not sure what I ordered but there is an abundance of flavors as every room has different selections. But popular drinks if you're looking for guidance - lavendar mule, espresso martini, a classic mojito. They got the classic to your well-crafted cocktails. Some spots provide food while others is sip and chill or sip and dance. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Fast-paced but solid. Staff keeps up with the crowd and still manages to be engaging. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars! Good choices, reasonable prices, and a vibe like no other. As a gemini that can be quite indecisive, I enjoyed this spot - especially with its multiple options. This is more than a bar - it's an experience. A spot where the night can go longer than expected. TIPS: * Walk through ALL the rooms--you'll miss half the experience if you don't
