He also did some interior painting in the sun room. David got back to us immediately as soon as we contacted him. He quickly came out and did measurements, and gave us a bid on the job within a couple of days. He was always super responsive any time we called, emailed or texted him. He proactively kept us informed of when he would be on the job. David's level of experience and competence was apparent at all times. He had a clear understanding of which paint was best for each application. When spray painting the siding, David always had the sprayer in one hand and a roller in the other hand, alternating between spraying and rolling. For the trim, he used roller and brush. I was amazed at the level of detailed prep work he did. He spent weeks sanding, caulking and priming. I think he went through 2 cases of caulk, caulking every place where water could possibly get in. He took down all the gutter down-spouts in order to paint behind them (and put them back up with new powder-coated screws afterwards). He took down light fixtures, etc. He used stain-blocking oil primer to prime large areas. Every surface got 2 coats of finish paint. The finished job looked great. There were no messes -- no paint spilled or slopped onto places where it shouldn't be. I felt very positive about the entire experience and felt lucky to have hired such a careful and conscientious guy. He painted our house as if it was his own. I recommend him to friends every chance I get. --Mark Newbold, Sequim

Summers Painting is one of the finest small businesses I have ever dealt with. Their craftsmanship…read moreand skill is unmatched in their trade. The crew is made up of kind and hardworking people dedicated to performing the job requested at the highest level of expertise possible. In my case, I had the Summers company come in and undo a horrible mess created by another company who tried to stain a fence, two covered porches, front door and garage door for me. The previous company put people on the crew who were inexperienced and the boss was never around. They nearly ruined our wood, stained over mold instead of removing it first, and did not use the colors I wanted. With Summers, Shannon, the boss and owner, was on hand guiding and working with the crew much of the time. The crew was experienced at doing detailed boat refurbishing and took that same fine woodworking skill to their sanding and staining of my project in a most efficient manor. An extra bonus was how nicely they cleaned up after each day's work. My fence, porches, front door, and garage door came out looking like brand new wood. The color was spot on just as I had asked for. The sanding, staining and urethane made the wood look like something out of an architectural magazine. I could not have been more pleased. My highest recommendation goes to Summers Painting. You will not be disappointed should you choose to use this company for your painting or staining project.

Drawing upon considerable…read moreexpertise and paying close attention to what I had in mind, he designed the perfect fence for me, complete with 3 gates that harmonize with both the fence and the house. (By sharing drawings and photographs with me, he made sure that his design had my approval before construction began.) Work on the fence began when anticipated and was pretty much completed within 48 hours by 2 hardworking men who were consistently courteous. Moreover, without being asked to do so (or charging me to do so), they carted away a large pile of branches that had accumulated when shrubbery had to be pruned to avoid interfering with the new fence. (They also did the pruning--but only after asking for permission and showing me the branches that they recommended removing.) When 3 weeks later deer figured out how to get into my garden because of a small gap between my fence and a neighbor's fence, Joshua returned and saw that the gap was quickly patched. (My garden has now been deer-free for more than a month--a great blessing because deer are prolific in my neighborhood and had come to see my garden as an all-you-can-eat buffet.) I recommend Savory highly and without reservation. I am delighted with my fence and the service I received for a fair price.
