It has a nice open space for walking animals and for folks to sit down under covered pavilions to picnic or rest along the road. The bathrooms are spacious and clean and the facility is very well maintained. This facility also offers a wonderful array of brochures and information about various things to do in the state of Arkansas in this area and all throughout the state. I highly recommend a visit, especially if you are entering into the state on a trip and you're looking for information about the area in the state of Arkansas. Opened in 1922, the "Million Dollar Free Bridge" carries US-64 over the Arkansas River and joins…read moreMoffett Oklahoma with Fort Smith Arkansas. It was built with most of the costs borne by Arkansas with some by Oklahoma. It replaced a modified railroad bridge that allowed pedestrians and vehicles to pass for a toll. The bridge was replaced in the early 1970s for the current one that is officially known as the J. Fred Patton Garrison Avenue Bridge and was completed in 1973. This was done to increase the height to better support the barges passing along the Arkansas River. This summer, repair work on the bridge started and will take several months.
