I am a paying client at SLB and wanted to share my initial thoughts and experience thus far. Prior to joining SLB, I had used OnLine Dating (OLD) apps and actually met my ex-wife online almost 25 years ago (recently divorced). Back then, only the most tech savy intellectuals could actually navigate their way to an OLD site. Today, everyone and their neighbors are on OLD apps, and your ideal match has become a needle in the haystack the size of Mount Ranier. A fundamental problem with OLD is that high profile professionals like me don't want their 1000+ staff/clients/students/interns/patients/fans to see their profile. However, the incognito feature of OLD apps means that you also won't see any of the potential matches who are incognito for the same reasons. In other words, if you are in the top 3% in looks, finances, career, athleticism, or other quantifiable parameter, you are unlikely to find your top 3% peers on OLD apps due to mutual privacy concerns. In the few weeks since I joined SLB, I have been matched with like-minded attractive professionals with similar values and life goals. I do not know how SLB is farming Seattle for these wonderful people from all walks of life. There is no way I would have randomly met these people in real life and definitely not on the current iteration of OLD apps, their incognito features, and the expected privacy concerns of high profile individuals. Needless to say, I've been pleasantly surprised by the match hit rate at SLB. Monique (SLB owner) has been a joy to work with. Simply put, she listens and delivers. She conjurs amazing matches from thin air like a wizard. She provides sage advice like Yoda should you need it. Dating advice? Check. Fashion advice? Check. Dining advice? Check. Relationship advice? Check. Monique has seen it all and heard it all. She has been highly effective in facilitating initial connections, bringing me closer than ever to my relationship goals. The only thing you need to worry about is bringing your A-game personality and your wallet. Indeed, any matchmaking service will cost a pretty penny, so this isn't for everyone. If you are a busy high profile professional, surely you would understand the importance of not spending weeks, months, or years on relationships that are doomed from Day 1 due to a lack of transparency. Monique knows what truly matters the most to both parties, something that is difficult to convey on OLD apps (or in-person) without coming across as a demanding neurotic or even worse a narcissist. Are you particular about someone's height? Job? Values? Education? Lifestyle? Physique? Religion? Political views? Cultural background? Income level? Mandatory prenup? All of the above and more? Monique listens without judgement and unveils match after match like rabbits hopping out of a magician's hat. One final note: The matches from SLB have given me a lot of hope that there are many others like me out there. Others who are simply not showing up on my OLD apps or in the dozens of Meetup gatherings that I've attended. The OLD apps had been giving me lukewarm matches despite a high match rating (e.g. "Best Bees"). Whenever an OLD app match is rated 90%, it often felt more like a 60% or 70% match riddled with deal-breakers. With SLB matches, they seem to be consistently over 80% on paper and sometimes well over 90% in person. This is my objective mathematically verifiable observation. Surprisingly, even the negative reviews have been encouraging, as they reveal that SLB won't take your money if you are deemed too difficult to match for any reason.
