Dr. Vankani every time he sees me makes me feel so comfortable with his professionalism and friendly personality. If you've been in the building when I come in the door he'll yell, "How's it going O'Hagan!!!!" Followed up by him taking the time every time to focus in one what was needed. Initially, I went to visit because the pain in my face after a fall was so intense. Immediately, there was x-rays done that showed a few muscle issues and a massive overbite. Dr. Vankani reviewed the films with me, came up with a plan and offered me a no interest payment plan that was reasonable for my budget. Dr. Vankani called me on his cell phone to personally make sure after my braces went on that I was feeling ok, he guided me thru how I might feel, what to expect, how to handle it and if I need anything to call him. That personal touch of calling for a follow up was an added polite service. He called - not one of the office folks, not a service but Dr. Kevin Vakani. After 18 months, no more face pains and I was feeling super good. A few years later, yes we are fast forwarding folks at my desk I fiddled with the permanent retainer and it popped off! Scary! Imagine a sharp piece of metal going straight into that part of under your tongue. Ouch! I did a stupid jerky thing. I held it down with my portable retainer and went into to call "please help!" Immediately, there was a call back. Not only is there Dr. Kevin Vankani yet he has a BROTHER who is his partner and his brother woke him up telling him about me. (Around 12:30 AM) By 7:30 am I was in the chair getting fixed. No charge. While talking to me, a patient that never broke a bracket, never missed an appointment or installment for payment, Dr. Vankani rolled up in his chair after fixing the permanent retainer and said, "What happened your bottom teeth are crooked?" This guy he can see everything ... and noticed with concern something was emotionally off. I had admitted my son passed away and I couldn't sleep so I didn't wear the retainers. Do you know what he did? He pulled up and said I'm going to out the bottoms on again, a gift to make you feel better. All summer I wore the bottoms. Never missed an appointment, never a bracket and after he finished I felt like a million dollars. Although my heart aches there was a brighter moment in my life due to Dr. Vankani. He didn't need to reach out and help me but yet that is the dedication to his patients and community. He could have sent flowers, a card or bought dinner but nope he went above and beyond. "I don't want you to be sad, I'm going to help you be happy." I'm not writing that I didn't wish for flowers after my adjustments but I was outrageously grateful because he was correct I needed to be fixed. With grief, many things are let go and it was so kind to help me. All I have is praise for Vankani Orthodontic and the staff. The entire staff is polite, personable and dedicated to giving the attention a customer deserves. Over the years, I have seen the practice grow from a small store front on a side road to a state of the art building on State Road 60 yet the staff treat you like Norm walking in the door at Cheers! Everyone knows my name, they address me , they all have a euphoric aura of attention even though the office is fast paced. The Dr and staff make sure your number one when working on you. I've heard the staff speak to clients in multiple languages to better assist customers and make them feel comfortable. The patients are multi generational. Everyone that I've encountered there is polite and happy. Seriously, the service, attention and cleanliness ranks up there with a top shelf country club. If you're looking for an Orthodontist look no further than Vankani. Oh and I forgot to mention the Vankani's have multiple office and work in many neighborhoods so if something does happen a patient can get immediate service. It's time to do something about my teeth. 50 years old and my teeth were either breaking or starting to hurt due to cavities. Anyone ever remember being yelled at as a kid by their parents to "brush your teeth?" I do and for the most part, did so. Nevertheless, visiting the dentist as an adult was only a priority when something went wrong or hurt. I was never into the "six-month" rule for visits and cleaning. I paid more attention to the "five-second" rule when dropping food on the floor than I did to scheduling regular dental visits. Initially, I found Spallone Family Dentistry through an online search and very positive reviews. I had a broken tooth and it was a Saturday. I called and was told to come in later that morning. A few minutes later, they called back and said "you can come in now" as someone had cancelled an appointment. Having recently moved to Vero Beach from Fort Lauderdale, I was still "making contacts" and one of them wasn't a dentist. All hooked up at the dentist and Jeanette walks into my treatment room saying "Hi, Bill - we're Facebook friends." I'm saying to myself "who is this pretty woman and how come I haven't noticed her before?" Long story short, Jeanette and I spoke for a few minutes and she noticed that I had "checked into Spallone Family Dentistry" on Facebook and wanted to introduce herself. Turns out that Jeanette had recently started working at this office and had a lot of nice things to say about the practice. After being treated that Saturday morning and doing extensive research, I decided to visit Spallone again for a check up and a potential treatment plan. I met Dr. Jan Garcia who became the dentist in charge of my treatment and decided to move forward with some very extensive dental work. As it turned out, my Cigna dental plan provided some very good discounts and incentives and I decided to move forward with treatment. Talking about personal health or dental issues is hard for most. In my case, I needed very extensive dental work and "I needed it now" as I had a broken front tooth just right of center. Not one known to smile for the camera, you could see the missing tooth when I spoke and that wasn't acceptable to me. I wasn't someone who had bad hygiene practices - I just wasn't good at visiting the dentist. Dr. Jan Garcia and Dr. Tiffany Spallone devised a very specific dental treatment plan and we had detailed discussions regarding scheduling and fees. I decided to go "atomic" and replace everything in my mouth. My biggest concern was I didn't want to grow old before my time. I wasn't looking for dentures and a cup by the bed for my teeth at night. My dental treatment plan must include permanent implants or fixtures that could never be removed. A dozen or so dental visits over the course of several months and I have a brand new smile. That doesn't mean I smile for the camera now, but I did for some of these photos. My Cigna dental plan helped in significantly reducing the cost of a complete new mouth and my night job at Publix sweeping floors pays for the zero percent credit offer from Care Credit. All kidding aside - the dental plan allowed me to "pay as I go" without any real impact on my wallet. While replacing an entire mouth could potentially be expensive, my research indicated I was getting a decent deal at Spallone. They were less expensive than another dentist I visited in the Fort Lauderdale area and I needed the work done. Moreover, I was comfortable with the practice and the support staff behind them. A great family type atmosphere and they explain the process each step of the way. With hardly a wait, it's never more than a few minutes in the waiting room.
