He was so patient and listened to all of my fears and was very personable. I got in a month sooner due to a cancellation, the front desk staff are VERY kind and tell you everything you need to know to be ready. They were also very patient with me. I don't even remember the procedure, I do remember I was fearful before going under anesthesia but his assistants were SO KIND, were supportive and talked to me while I got the IV. Thank you so much Dr. Israel and ALL the staff. I was recommended to them by my mom who had a great experience along with several dentists in Vero/ Sebastian, as I called around before finding him.

However, In October 2025, I was told, only because I called the office, that my 14 year old child with special needs would no longer be seen, due to the doctor's internal policy change affecting patients age 14+ covered under our insurance. According to the office, they would still accept our insurance but the doctor would no longer treat patients ages 14 and older even though the coverage is covered through age 18. No advance notice was provided. This was especially concerning because Dr. King had already referred my child for orthodontic treatment, which we followed and paid for. Orthodontic treatment requires ongoing dental care, yet my child was dropped from receiving dental services he was already scheduled for. My request to continue as a self-pay patient was also declined. No transition of care was offered, no referral, no guidance, and no assistance locating another pediatric dentist experienced with special-needs patients. His appointment was just cancelled. Discontinuing care for a minor with disabilities, in the middle of care and without notice or transition planning, raises serious concerns about access, accommodation, and adherence to professional standards, particularly for children enrolled in a state health coverage program.

I was unable to get all my information online, so I would just bring it to my appointment. I received a call the day before saying it was canceled because I had not turned it in. Frantically, I called back and asked for the appointment to be rescheduled, as it had been just 20 minutes. I finally got through, and they confirmed my appointment. I got there, and they said they had given me the wrong kind of appointment. The girl at the front desk was dismissive and showed little concern about the mistake, saying the next available would be in July. When I explained it was their mistake, all she said was, " I have July." Her condescending and rude attitude should be addressed at the office. People have to take time off work to make and get to these appointments, and there is no reason to look down on someone who is flustered by such a big mistake. I work hourly and had to take an entire hour off to get there, only to be told they had scheduled the wrong thing. Reading these other reviews, maybe I got lucky.

BEWARE USING THIS DENTIST WITH INSURANCE…read more I used this dentistry recently to have a new crown procedure. Christie's gave me the quote for my co-pay using my dental insurance, which I paid immediately. Shortly after the procedure, the insurance claim was denied due to Christie's mistake using a wrong claim code. Even worse, they waited over 180 days to file an claim appeal, and of course any appeal over 180 days is automatically denied. However, it even gets worse. Christie's then billed me 2x the contracted insurance rate for the procedure, which, by the way, is entirely their mistake. I'm fairly certain this is illegal as a provider is only allowed to charge the contracted rate.

When she developed an infection she definitely wanted to find someone new... a new patient emergency, AND as we approached Easter Weekend no less. Emergency appointments can be a wait when you are also a new patient, but not so with Vero Beach Dental Care -- boy, did we luck out! Technician Sarah and Front Desk Rickie (F) were very accommodating and got her in, first-thing after the Holiday weekend. Sarah did her x-rays and was so careful to make it as painless as possible, considering the infection. She's GREAT! We then saw Dr. Morgan Clay, DMD, and daughter of the Founder, Dr. Roger Clay, DDS with 40 years experience. We've had fantastic experience in the past with a father-daughter team and the Clays were just as excellent. It is so hard to find a GOOD dentist, with a GOOD team, but also personable, gentle and kind -- they are all of that and we have definitely found our new Vero Dental Team. It turned out, my mom's situation will require a very difficult extraction and they appropriately referred her to Dr. Salomon Israel, DDS, PA and we feel confident we will have just as good an experience with him. We couldn't recommend Dr and Dr Clay and their entire team (and doggies!) more highly. Here's 5 MORE ***** for good measure.
