A couple of months before the wedding we were abruptly informed that we were being turned over to Brandi's assistant. We were a little shocked since we were a large group for a beach wedding and had upgraded everything. Lack of communication up until the week before the wedding had us greatly concerned. My hope was they would surprise us and pull it off splendidly. They did not. We informed them of our food allergies months before the festivities. One hour before the rehearsal dinner the assistant informed me there might be an allergen in the shrimp boil. There was. Too late to change, of couse. Someone had to go to Chick-fil-a so the bride could eat. The assistant was pleasant but the most unorganized person I've ever met. We were late starting the wedding because of this so I can only hope the pictures turn out. Many other details were incorrect. Wrong color lanterns, paid extra for a chandelier we didn't get, etc. Good things: Bake My Day provided the best wedding cake ever, the wedding caterers were okay, and the DJ was good although he veered from the requested music type. Kelly Marquez, the photographer, was great to work with. These auxiliary vendors helped bring the score up. Sadly, for the wedding company, which I now noticed are billing themselves as consultants, not planners, there were a few locals among the guests who were appalled at the lack of organization and informed me they would be letting everyone know not to use this particular service. A lot of money spent for very average service. The company should just advertise themselves to set up the venue and recommend the auxiliary vendors, because that is all they do. read more
