My range is powered by propane, and the technician said that no one at Sears AE Service is licensed to work with propane-powered appliances. I was very clear in my service request that my range is a gas and electric combo. The day after I scheduled my appointment, I received a call to gather more information about my request and I confirmed again that it is a combo range. After waiting two weeks for my appointment, I received a phone call this morning from the technician to tell me he was on the way and to ask more information about the appliance. When I said it was a combo range he said his company is not licensed for gas appliances and that my appointment was canceled and my service request would be reassigned to a different contractor. Shortly after I received an email from Sears that my technician had arrived at my home. Moments later I received another email confirming that I had accepted the estimate of $100. Moments later I received a receipt for my $100 payment with a note that I had refused service and at the bottom of the invoice it showed a gas appliance license number. Either the technician lied to me or he lied to Sears about his licensure. Either way, I am back to waiting another week for a new company to come out and filing a fraud dispute in my card. Sadly, Sears subcontracts their work so you never know who you'll get. read more

Martin, was rude, arrogant, and was not helpful at all. He had to come out 2 times and both times did not repair anything. He saw there was rust on the machine and used that as the excuse to only charge for his time. Now that he used the word RUST on the warranty claim my warranty is useless and I will now need to buy a new washing machine. Overall a good experience and the washer was fixed. my only complaint is I paid for the maintenance and cleaning and I'm quite certain it didn't get done. The first tech claimed it would get done on the second visit when the part and repair was done and the second tech claimed the first one did it and the rubber lining was definitely not clean after the repair was completed. They do send plenty of notifications and confirmation of the scheduled repair dates. Prices seem reasonable. read more

Our first initial service guy was not very good at all. He did diagnosis the problem to be the drain pump amd he ordered the part. Carlos came yesterday about a week and half later to install the new part. There was still water sitting in the machine so he advised me that it was my responsibility to remove the water which I was NEVER told. Luckily we had a shop vac, Carlos went to another service call so I could remove the water. When he came back to install the part he quickly seen 2 of the shocks had been broke as well. Lucky again he the parts in his truck. Carlos was able to get the washing machine repaired completely and was very professional in doing so. But had the first guy done his job completely it would have saved us and Carlos time. There was no charge to us as I had renewed my warranty in August. The technician complained about the brand, I had to correct his errors, he left screws off and was completely clueless. We sat around waiting for 2 days straight. Now nobody shows up. They pretty much just take a picture of my driveway and leave. Nobody has left a note on my door. Nobody has called me. Nobody has texted me and said hey. I'm outside your house. Are you home? Nothing and today my father took the whole entire day off. Set home with the door. Open all day to make sure somebody was home and nobody showed up. We have other service technicians in the house right now with the door still open and still nobody showed up. My freezer has been worked on numerous times for the same issue over the last 18 months and each time the repair doesn't fix the problem, I have put in an additional repair request since they say you have 180 days where they warranty their work. The technician has came out several times, and the most recent time replaced the seal of the freezer. That ultimately made the issue profoundly worse than what it was. Now I am being told that the item is no longer covered. In addition, the technician just felt free to walk right through my front door and into my house while I was not there and it was only my wife and daughter inside the house. He did this twice. Unbelievable professionalism and extremely terrible repair service. On top of all that, the warranty company is not standing by its repairs at all and refusing to continue repairs or to replace the freezer as the technician stated it was no longer repairable. So basically, they worked on an appliance multiple times that now they are saying wasn't covered, causing additional damage to where the freezer is no longer usable, and now refusing to do anything further. To be clear, it absolutely was covered as I paid a one time annual payment for a standalone freezer specifically because it was not covered by the traditional Coverage plan, so there absolutely was coverage for it. Next step is small claims court and Better Business Bureau. read more

I had to be rescheduled twice due to their tech being sick just to be diagnosed. Then they ordered wrong part but still have showed up to verify this. They said they came today but I am home and got delivery at3:56. They say they were here at 4:02 while I am still by the door and sent text message to call the number left my technician if I still wanted service today. There was no voicemail and I ran out front and did not see anyone. I called and was told I was not home!! It has already been a month without a dishwasher. Don't use them!!!! Our service tech was very nice when he came to fix our side by side frigid/freezer. He stated that it appeared that the coils in the freezer were froze up. He had to google the schematic plan of the freezer & removed the back panel inside the freezer. He used a steamer to defrost the coils. He checked before & after temps in both fridge & feezer & told us to wait 24hrs before it should reach to right temps. The freezer has a temp display on the outside panel but he told us it was off by about 4 degrees each. Two days later the freezer is much cooler but still not cold & freezing. The fridge is warmer & the temp on the panel was not changed @ all for both. I tried the online approach but there is no place for needed repair on present claim & it wants an up front payment to schedule another appt. I then called the service number & it is all automated, & kept trying to get through to an operator. I'm not sure what option I requested but finally got a real person .The operator connected me on a 3way call & I finally spoke with the actual service person. He was able to give me another appt date one week from today to fix the appliance. I hope that is actually going to happen he did not give me another service confirmation number. Mean while I'm grateful for my other fridge & freezer. It would be helpful to have an option on line & on the phone to speak with an operator to request repeat service of the present claim. read more

They pretend your warranty doesn't exist when you need to use it and then when you present your own paperwork proving you have warranty, it magically shows up in their system ..."oh ok, we're showing you did have a warranty now (surprise surprise) but you cancelled it 6 months ago?!" Why would I cancel a 3-year warranty on a $3500 fridge? If I did so, I think I would remember. Additionally, I was NEVER reimbursed for this so called "cancelled warranty". Wow just wow! Sears has gone way down hill fast. We purchased a brand new Kenmore washer & dryer recently. Had them installed thru Sears. The install team screwed up by not tightening one of the screws in the back panel. Thing blows the breaker in the wall and burns out all the wires. Could have started a fire. Now we have had no dryer for weeks. Their customer service just sends you from department to department in India. Seriously can't believe how shitty this company has become.
