I had quite the experience at this business yesterday afternoon. In an attempt to entice the elderly to come in and get their hearing checked, Miracle Ear mails out promotional materials promising a gift card and such for coming in. My spouse and I went in yesterday and apparently the employees there did not appreciate that we were coming in with the promotional materials they mailed out. I gave the front desk girl the mailer and she went back to inform the audiologist. At that point as I was filling out the intake forms, the audiologist comes out to us while we are still in the waiting room and proceeds to berate us for coming in because HE believes we just wanted the gift card and we had our hearing checked last year. Um, we actually get not only our hearing, but our health in general checked out yearly. We have various health issues (including hearing) in our family so we try to stay in top of things. For future reference, if you don't want people to bring in YOUR promotional materials then don't send them out or only send them out to the clients that YOU want them to go to genius! Second, learn to have an iota of professionalism. We did not just run over your dog. We made an appointment and you knew we were coming in. We did not do anything wrong and did not deserve to be treated like some sort of criminals. You and your front desk chick should be ashamed of yourselves but something tells me you are not. Maybe you and your staff need to figure out a better game plan than what you have going now. If you want to be thought of as a professional and legitimate business, then learn to treat your clientele with some respect. Otherwise, carry on as you are. There are a lot of locations for miracle ear so if you are looking to be treated with some respect, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Also, if you get a promotional mailer, don't you dare use it unless you haven't been there in the last 5 years. I would hate for anybody to get a beat down in the middle of the waiting room like we did. read more
