Our kids really look forward to seeing Todd. He speaks to them on their level, and then speaks to…read moreus on ours, and then talks with all of us together. He's helped us to learn new ways to communicate with each other at home. So grateful that Building Blocks is here in our little community.

Whatever you do.. do not take your children to Building Blocks Mental Health. N. Todd Gale drugged…read moremy children to the point that they were having hallucinations. When I informed him of this, he turned around and called child protective services! But his accusations were unfounded and carried no weight. My case has since been closed! Be very leery. PMHNP Gale does not have your best interest at heart. The only thing he cares about is lining his own pockets. I have previously posted two reviews but they keep getting taken down, so I will keep posting my reviews because it is my right to voice my opinion on this platform! N. Todd Gale had my children on three different medications. Gabapentin, amantadine and hydroxizine. Do your diligence before taking your children to see NP Gale. However, I did lodge a complaint with the child abuse hotline here in Oregon. They are currently investigating Building Blocks Mental Health. Specifically PMHNP Gale for his wrongdoing. Hopefully they suspend his license for his conduct and take away his right to practice medicine for good. He has a superiority complex where you are met with skepticism, bullying tactics and false accusations. Someone like this has no right treating little kids. Do not be DUPED!!!

We've been taking our kids to Dr. Whittaker for about 5 years now, and we're super glad to have…read morefound him and his staff. Three of our kids have complex medical issues and Dr. Whittaker has provided great care for all of them. He's very knowledgeable. And he does a great job interacting with all our kids and getting them to cooperate for their exams and medical care. You can tell that he cares about people. His staff are nice and very helpful too. Another review said their wasn't a nurse advice option, but I am pretty sure there is as we've used one several times. Also, the doctors at the office provide telephone coverage for each other, and when that is not an option they have other doctors covering for them. We've never had a problem getting advice/help after hours. As a dentist with my own office, I find myself watching Dr. Whittaker to see how he interacts with people and how he makes his office interesting and fun for kids. He's a good guy to emulate. I highly recommend him.

We went here once in our search for a pediatrician. I had heard that Shannon Brigman was great, but…read morewhen I called, she was NOT taking new patients. So We saw Dr Whittaker for a well baby check up. Everything was nice enough- the nurses were kind, we were able to get appointments in a reasonable amount of time and the doctor was personable. Unfortunately, I received advice that was for formula fed babies when I had just mentioned that I breastfed. Oops! In the end, I decided to not continue care here and switch to another clinic with access to a nurse line, female doctor availability and after hours immediate care.

Let me first say that Dr. J (Dr. J Rosenbloom) is top notch. He clearly cares about the kids, and…read moreinforms the parents. He speaks like a parent to me, not a doctor who knows a whole lot more than me. Anytime I have brought him a concern, he never says or implies "that's a stupid question" or demeans me for asking it. He takes the time to really engage and explain everything. To me, that means the world because he cares for the two most important people in my world. I have met several of the nurses and they are always a pleasure to work with. I was actually really warmed by speaking to the triage nurse over the phone because she was SO kind, reassuring and answered EVERY question I had when I called in. When you're worried about your kiddo, THAT is exactly the kind of reassurance you need. I also really liked the emergency docs we have seen the two times we came in on emergent visits and didn't get to see Dr. J. I don't recall the names of the doctors we saw, but they were both female and both excellent. I appreciate that the medical staff is top notch. The staff in administration, is another story. I have never dealt with being billed for my "patient responsibility" and not having the front ask if I want to pay my balance when I check out; but getting a "collection letter." I got a statement requesting payment and 2 days later got a past due letter. I was less than pleased about that. They also seem to be a bit clueless on how to speak to people on the phone when they call in to schedule. If they could get the administration and billing staff to get it together and for the love of all things good, be professional to parents calling in, I could give them 5 stars. But the admin right now is just not the same level of excellence that the medical staff is.
