Even if they're controlled. Withdrawing from benzos makes people suicidal so this office is lucky I have some extra to get me through. I'm sure he's going to reply with name calling yeah I had the flu and you canceled my benzo script which has probably the worst withdrawal symptoms of any drug. All they want is your money. Want to just call in your same medication to another pharmacy that had a different brand? Sorry you have to come in for that and pay the $60 copay. I hope trump destroys our current Healthcare system because it needs to be burned to the ground. None of these doctors I have seen in the desert care about you going through withdrawals. You're on your own. Completely unethical and should be illegal until I find a new doctor to give me my meds so I don't get withdrawals. I am not one to give negative reviews. But this deserves to be heard because [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've never experienced such a negative staff experience in a medical office. It's sad and disappointing to observe the way the women in this office treat patients[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. It's a mental health clinic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They often snap at patients: they complain openly about things that should be private: and they continually blame-talk insurance companies.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They don't return your gentle calls for literally weeks on end, and somehow it is always the insurer's fault.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]So you check with the insurer and they give you a detailed and different story.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Despite this, I was willing to stay with Dr. Connolly and endure long appointment wait times because I think he is a good doctor/person, and he goes out of his way to accommodate you. I spent years trying to convince myself that being sad and anxious over small things like crowds or just going about my day was normal. I thought everyone felt those things, but I was weak or selfish enough to think my lot could be any worse than everyone else's. Getting myself to a place where I could ask for help was hard, and even then, being honest about the extent of my anxiety was an uphill battle for a long time. But, as horrible as it sounds, the best thing that ever happened to me and my mental health was my former psychiatrist moving out of state, leaving me to look for a new one. After my first session with Dr. Connolly, I knew I wouldn't be looking at any others on my list. He's LGBTQ+ friendly, knowledgeable, and has an energy that makes me feel genuinely safe talking to him. He listens to you, and more importantly, he hears you when you speak. I've been with him since August, and in that short time, he's made me feel comfortable enough to be more open with him than any of the other counselors and psychiatrists I've seen. More importantly, his care has improved my quality of life. I used to have regular crying jags in the bathrooms of my lab where I felt like everything was doomed and nothing was ever going to be okay, and I don't anymore. I used to have to schedule an additional 20 minutes to psych myself up for the day or risk a panic attack, and I don't need to do that either. I'm not cured of anxiety, but the anxiety I feel is manageable these days. In general, my life feels a lot less heavy and a lot less chaotic since Dr. Connolly became my psychiatrist. Dr. Connolly is a good man, a great psychiatrist, and I can't say enough good things about him. If you're someone like me who feels that little spike of panic in your chest at even the idea of telling someone, 'hey, everything is not okay with me even though I don't have a reason for it to feel like that,' I really, really hope you'll believe me when I say that if you give him a shot, he won't let you down. read more
