Reflections On The 2026 FREE DENTAL CLINIC Experiences!…read moreOverview Of The Events: March 28, 2026 marked my second year participating in the FREE DENTAL CLINIC Held at the Wicomico Civic Center, sponsored by Eastern Shore Mission Of Mercy, and I say again it's absolutely FREE! The clinic requires a significant amount of patience and good leg muscles due to prolong standing. Constant movement. Complaining was simply not an option. Volunteer Contributions & Patient Experience: It's truly important to remember that all the dental technicians were volunteers. Some dentists may have been a bit aggressive during cleanings, fillings, select root canals etc., However, since the cost is not a factor, accept this and understand these procedures and circumstances Event Coordination and Observation: The massive movement of the attendees throughout this FREE DENTAL CLINIC was done efficiently, NATE, who served as Team Supervisor, Floor Coordinator and Communications Lead managed the overall flow very well and professionally. Recommendations For Improvement: *Accommodation for the elderly, Very elderly individuals should not be expected to stand for long periods, participate in the musical chair routine ( up and down, sit here no sit there ) or climb significant flights of stairs. The shoulder be placed in a designated area on the main floor--one section should be for them. *Number System For Main Floor: Once patients are escorted to main floor, they should receive a number. When that number is called --you will be seen by dentists. This approach minimizes line and chair manipulation! This particularly reflects on non-English speaking groups! I observed this consistently. *Veterans Priority: It isn't that many of us-I believe veterans deserve consideration and should be given priority---We Earned That Well That's That! This Is Just A Observation ONLY
