Corresponded with me through texts including giving me a quote for the job which I found to be a great value. He arrived on time and safely cut down and removed a 30-foot-tall tree in the front yard and he and his son cleaned up the lawn, sidewalk, and street. No mess at all left behind. On the second job two weeks later, he came alone, followed my request to trim off the lower branches of four large trees in the back yard. There were a LOT of branches! These would surely be on the lawn in the next ice storm! And just like last time, these branches don't rebound. This was disaster prevention. He hauled away all the branches off the lawn, then raked the entire length of the 63 feet long by 8 feet deep bed underneath the trees! I did NOT expect that kind of cleanup! I haven't seen that bed so clean in years! He used a blower and cleared the driveway, sidewalk and street of anything that fell during the removal. It was raining slightly that day, and owner called 15 minutes before he was to be here and said it was too rainy and wet. (that was never a problem before - I have pictures of them working in the rain). He wanted to reschedule and if I didn't want to reschedule he just wanted to cancel it altogether. So we rescheduled to a week out and I finally called him at 10 AM to see if he was still coming. He said Oh, ya - just need to get gas and unload chipper. Be there in an hour or so. When he showed up and we made a comment that it would have been nice if he called to let us know he was going to be 2 hours late - as a courtesy. Good business practice. (He now works alone - does not have a crew anymore like before). Well, he took offense and said he didn't think he wanted to do this job because of our comment. We told him we like his work, just let people know if your going to be real late. So he stood there for a minute and walked down the street, got in his truck and left. No sorry, no goodbye, no nothing - just left He would not answer my phone call either. I real immature man. After all the business I've given him and referrals - no more.

Plants were completely smashed, branches were everywhere, and a huge limb had been taken out of our old growth apple tree. What blew my mind is that they didn't clean anything up, appeared to take zero precautions to protect our tree and plants, and couldn't do so much as leave a note or try to contact us. Despite proximity to the power lines and many large limbs overhanging our plantings and buildings, the team completed the project without any damage as well as cleaning up other ice storm damage around our property. The stump grinding looked really good too! The quote process was excellent with Bartlett providing a very detailed quote so we could understand what was in and out of scope as well as the identifying other pest issues with some of our other trees that we didn't realize were there. He gave a fair price, so I asked if he could do some additional work. They skillfully trimmed 8 feet off of a 20 foot tall unruly hedge, alongside the street and a gully on the edge of my property. Today they came and removed a 120 foot tall Douglas Fir tree that was leaning precariously, due to roots that had found their way above ground and rotted. The only thing holding it up was a large tree on the other side of the driveway, that the top of this tree was now leaning on. It was a complicated job to be sure. Once again I received a fair estimate/price and professional, prompt, efficient and friendly service. They have all the equipment necessary to do whatever job you need done. Highly Recommend!
