Reasonable price and good work in a timely fashion. We will use them again if the need arises.

It truly is not often in life that you find someone like Britton Cooper aka The Woodcracker. Beyond…read morethe great skills he possesses, he is a man of his word, a pleasant, polite person to deal with. He responded to my email quickly. Corresponded with me through texts including giving me a quote for the job which I found to be a great value. He arrived on time and safely cut down and removed a 30-foot-tall tree in the front yard and he and his son cleaned up the lawn, sidewalk, and street. No mess at all left behind. On the second job two weeks later, he came alone, followed my request to trim off the lower branches of four large trees in the back yard. There were a LOT of branches! These would surely be on the lawn in the next ice storm! And just like last time, these branches don't rebound. This was disaster prevention. He hauled away all the branches off the lawn, then raked the entire length of the 63 feet long by 8 feet deep bed underneath the trees! I did NOT expect that kind of cleanup! I haven't seen that bed so clean in years! He used a blower and cleared the driveway, sidewalk and street of anything that fell during the removal. Again, I was left with no clean up task after he left. Seriously folks, if you need this type of work done by a professional, look no further than The Woodcracker. Highest recommendations!

He removed about 30' of branches that were overhanging my roof. Wow what a difference! He's very adept at what he does, and so polite and professional. His son assisted and the two worked so hard in the high temperatures. Meticulous cleanup! Very fair prices. Happy customer!

My hedge of mature arborvitae had a 5 foot section that looked like it wasn't healthy. I contacted…read moreChildress tree service. A man came out and looked the arbs over. I asked him if the problem was a fungus disease, bag worms, spider mites ect. He barely looked at them and told me they might need some "collar" surgery. I asked why only 5 feet were distressed and slowly dying. He told me that they need to be fertilized. Childress tree service clearly states in their website that they are a registered arborist. I assumed the guy they sent out had knowledge. I agreed to pay Childress $525 to service the collars and fertilize with a fermented green tea fertilizer. Two guys showed up in an unmarked vehicle, no company logo. One guy crawled between 4 arbs for about 3 minutes each. The other guy mixed the green tea fertilizer in a 5 gallon bucket. My research says the tea must be fermented over a period of days. He told me it doesn't matter and dumped some at the base of the plants. Two guys, 35 minutes. Needless to say that wasn't the problem. They had a fungus disease that I researched and figured out myself. During this time my arbs died in a two foot width. Several months after the service, I called the owner Ezra. He came over and explained that during the time my arbs were done, he was "away" and another guy was running his company for his extended absence. He said he had fired the guy upon his return and that the guy had stolen from him. I asked could he make it right with me by trimming the arbs and my trees that were trimmed two years ago for what he told me would be a smoking hot deal. I have had these arbs topped and my trees trimmed 3 times previously. It took the last guy two years ago 5 hours to trim all three of my medium size trees and the arbs. He did that for $700. Ezra finally gave me a bid for $1200 to make up for the poor service I received. That's his smoking hot deal to remedy the situation that happened while he was "away". Not impressed. Next is a complaint with the better business bureau.
