He desperately pushed for the $$ right away (first red flag & I should've known) then I had to beg for months for the sod. Caught him laying new sod on top of old grass & weeds. I made him pull it all up & remove the grass underneath. Then there were dead areas left everywhere. He'd promised from day 1 that he'd keep it weeded & lied & said he'd replaced the burned out areas. Now he will not respond at all. House is on the market & it's affecting the sale. At all costs do not use this service! Steve Fanucchi mowed our lawn that was on the market to be sold. We are out of state and were unable to care for the yard ourselves. He was requested to mow, weedeat and edge our yard. All he did was ride his lawn mower and cut the grass he could reach with the riding lawn mower. He left large areas all around bushes, trees, the building, the porch and the fence uncut. He did not weedeat either. As you know in the south when there is so much rain as we've had the grass grows very quickly and weedeating is required. He also did not do any edging. But the worst is that he hit and broke the gate of our fence while mowing. Our neighbor saw the entire thing. He didn't stop to look at the gate or attempt to close it nor did he report what happened. It cost several hundred to fix. My relator and I reached out to him many times to come out and finish the lawn work and to address the issue with the fence but he has not done so. He is a dishonorable man and recommend you not use his services for any reason. Update: A month later he has promised to reimburse me multiple times and has not done so. I will be reporting him to the BBB and Federal Trade Commission. read more

After a meeting with Mr. F. regarding our wants in a new landscape plan for our home, he returned with an amazing plan that included new sod, flowers beds, stone-work, concrete-work, mature tree installation, lighting and irrigation! FYI, I honestly do not like to write bad reviews if I can help it. However, I feel the need to write an honest review based on my experiences so perhaps the owner can work on how to improve his business/attend to customers and etc. better. I feel that this can benefit the business and Yelp users as well. I understand that everyone works hard for their $ and certainly no one should be taken advantage of. I will start with some of the positives: He showed up on time in the morning and probably worked until 4-5pm-ish. He always said hello. BUT overall, I am unsatisfied with his work. We originally met when I hired him to install some centipede sod on the side of our driveway. He noticed that we had just moved into our new house and asked if we were planning on doing/hiring others to do some landscaping work. I responded that my husband will be in charge of our yard work, however I asked him if he knew anyone or would recommend anyone who can build a fence for our backyard. He insisted that he can do the job himself (he is a landscaper, so I was hesitant). He said he will guarantee customer satisfaction. He asked for the details and what we were willing to pay. I told him I want a solid 6 ft privacy fence, 2 gates, black with triangular copper color caps and pretty much exactly like our next door neighbors fence to match. I asked him about the "shine" on my neighbors fence and informed me that it was a type of waterproofing. I told him I wanted that also. We agreed on $1600 (we paid half up front for materials and half when he finished the job). When we wrote him our first check for $800, he insisted that we had am insufficient balance in our account. That was not the case, because our bank account statement clearly states and we double checked with our banker as well. WE ALSO had a three-way conversation (the owner Steve Fanucchi, myself and my banker) to clarify and better understand the "insufficient" situation. It could be that he had an insufficient balance in his account and his bank was holding the $800 check, but that is just my assumption and I could be wrong... anyway, whatever the REAL truth was Mr. Fanucchi refused to start building our fence because "he didn't have the money in his account." I ended up waiting 1 week for him to show up and start building. Everything was going fairly well, but there was many delays due to the bad weather. Here are the reasons why I give this review... 1) Per visit to work on our fence Mr. Fanucchi did not clean up the saw dust. Instead, he hosed it down toward our grass. I was not happy about that. I ended up cleaning up after they left. 2) They did not securely cover up our garage before spray painting. Spots of black paint got on our garage. He sincerely apologized and said it would be taken care of. He asked for the exact paint color, which store it was purchased from so he can repaint over the spots. I gave him a sample jar of the exact garage paint color. Instead of purchasing another (which he said that he would) he just used the sample jar (now almost gone for us to use in the future). Some of the spots are still visible. 3) Our fence has nails sticking out (very dangerous for children and pets), some areas on the fence is not painted, wood expanded due to all the rainy days, some of the wood boards are not securely intact and now our main gate will not open and close properly without making a scraping sound against the cement floor. I have asked him repeatedly to return to our home and fix all the problems and I did not consider his job to be finished. He ignored for about a week until I informed him that I will contact an investigator and hire an attorney. He then respond very quickly and even apologized for not getting back to me soon enough. (btw, he also said that he was very busy with other clients. Does it make any sense that he should push me off in his schedule when I have already paid him in FULL???) I was patient and kind, although, he blamed me for the check not clearing, texting me at inappropriate hour, and dealing with his overall unprofessionalism. 4) Finally he agreed to come back and finish the job. We agreed on a time and date, but I was not able to meet with him, so I informed him that I will blue tape the areas that need fixing. I have pictures as proof that he DID NOT do any of those things. If anything, he painted some areas that NEEDED painting. I am very disappointed with the overall quality of his work, the way he talks to his customer (maybe just me), his unprofessionalism, and definitely there is no southern hospitality/charm about this man. I write this review because I have repeatedly asked him to return to fix all of the issues and it is STILL NOT fixed. I am too tired and too stressed to deal. Unfortunately, this makes me very un-trustworthy of other contractors and I have learned my lesson not to hire anyone without reading a positive review. read more

My neighbor uses this service and im sure they know how to cut grass with the best of them but they do not know how to deal with people. After one of their crew members drove his mower in front of my car as i passed their illegally parked truck i had to slam on the brakes, he then proceeded to flip me the bird and use explitives I cannot use here. All i did was honk as i slammed on the breaks. I asked why he didnt look before crossing the street and was met with more explitives. I will never use them and I encourage you to not as well. These are the most unprofessional group of men I have ever encountered. The manager on the scene seemed not to care about his employees dangerous behavior. read more

I am very pleased with the level of service and professionalism provided by Seacoast Landscape. My husband and I moved into a new house and our yard needed a lot of work. Seacoast completely revamped our beds in the front yard, and now we are the envy of the neighborhood. The plants they recommended and installed are spectacular. After the terrific work that was done in the front yard, we decided to utilize their services for the backyard, as well. They installed a stone fire pit and extended the current stone patio for additional seating. Overall I would highly recommend Seacoast Landscape. SEACOAST LANDSCAPING is HORRIBLE! They broke the front door glass of a business THREE days ago and still have not paid for it to be fixed! I spoke to the owner STEVE early this morning and he advised me it was supposed to be handled yesterday BUT the glass company advised me just now that STEVE has not given payment yet. Now when I try to call SEACOAST they send me to voicemail. What a horrible way to do business!!!! read more

Do NOT use Seacoast Landscaping. Steve is unethical, dishonest and once he gets your money, you will never see or hear from him again despite any problems or issues you may have. Seacoast did landscaping for our new house and once we moved in, plants and trees were dying. When we pulled back the straw, there was absolutely no topsoil, the plants were buried improperly and each tree had about a 2 inch gap around the hole. Again, there was no soil or dirt and proper mulch around anything. When we spoke to Steve, he said he would replace the plants and bring in soil FOR A COST! Yep, not only does he do a very poor job and 'cover' it up with pinestraw or mulch, once there's a problem, Steve will gladly fix it for a price. Meaning, he offers NO guarantee on his work. We refused to pay and did the work ourselves. Later, we found other issues, and lo and behold, Steve never returned calls, emails or text messages. What a crook!! read more
