I had a pedicure here. It was very expensive and very poorly done. I had to outtalk the esthetician…read moreto get her to stop babbling about nothing by giving her a few history lessons about the Town because she was totally ignorant. In Lunenburg, ignorance is not a good thing. She said she was born in Halifax and I was amazed by how little she knew about the South Shore. There was no pedicure chair, no massage, and awkward soaking. If this place is going to hold itself out as providing these types of services, they need proper equipment and properly trained staff. The nail polish started chipping off before the day was out.

My friend and I recently bought a Groupon for this spa. It was $168 for two people to receive three…read moreof the following: 30 min massage, 30 min, pedicure, 30 min manicure or 30 min facial. With your purchase you also got a fruit smoothie, a swim in the bromine pool and a steam shower. I went with massage, pedicure and manicure. When we arrived the decor was very pretty and relaxed. Reception as very pleasant though a little frazzled. We had never been there before and the layout could be very confusing (upstairs for treatment rooms, dressing rooms down halls, pool in the basement etc.) A mini tour would have been nice and would have saved us a lot of searching for where we were supposed to be. Once we got settled into a dressing room we made our way to the pool in the basement. It was supposed to be a salt water pool, though it didn't feel very much like that. It was quite warm and private though. Once we were done there we were greeted again by the staff and she helped us get ready for the steam shower, I chose the peppermint scent. It was very warm and relaxing and I would definitely do it again if I could. After our showers we were sent up stairs to get ready for our services and were given a smoothie (weren't given option of flavour). My services were...meh. My nails were cut far too short (they hurt) and my toe skin was also filed, the polish job on my nails is pretty substandard. I don't get a lot of these services done, but I do know that I could have painted my nails better. The massage was great, however. What's not to love about a relaxation massage. The aesthetician could have been a little warmer and more inviting, but again we weren't paying full price for the services, and I don't think I would at this location. A nice day with my friend over all.

From massages to mani/pedi, waxes to facials, the entire staff is excellent at what they do. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and they offer a wide range of retail products to compliment their services. Well done, Eau Spa! Keep up the good work!

Just a note to say that in August of 2014, my two nieces and I went to this spa. One had a facial…read moreand the other a massage. I opted to have a mini, mani, pedi. The experience, while there, was OK but when I returned home, while I was at Yoga (bare feet), a huge flake of nail polish came off the big toe on my right foot. Underneath, was a huge white patch. When I got home, I removed my nail polish on both my toes and fingers and found white patches everywhere. Turns out I got a fungus at this spa. Here in Ontario, whenever I have a manicure or pedicure, new tools/equipment are always used and then sent home with us. We can bring them back with us on subsequent visits. The manicurist did not use new tools/equipment and I think that this is why I got this fungus (never had this before) and I am still trying to deal with this. My nails (once beautiful, even without polish) are a complete mess right now....flaking, splitting and of course, this mess. I strongly recommend that you avoid this place to have this treatment done at this spa!
