If you're looking for a unique relaxing no frills experience, THIS is the place!
Owners Shelly and Jason live in this beautiful historic home from the 1800s and run a B&B. The Sea Glass Spa is attached to the back of the home and is completely separate and private of the B&B if you're not looking to stay overnight.
Spa visits are in 3 hour blocks for $65 per person. The owners are very flexible and easy going so a call or email (even a text over FB Messenger) will help you arrange your visit.
Towels and robes are provided but it's probably a good idea to bring your own towels. We're not very big people and we found the towels quite small. Spa slippers are also provided as is water.
It's great because you can bring your own food and beverages so pack a lunch and enjoy the views of the Bear River while eating on the huge outdoor deck.
The sauna is quite huge but make sure to set it first thing when you arrive to ensure it gets nice and warm. The steam room is great but quite small so two people is really the max at a time. If you're coming with a larger group, it's not much of an issue since there's the hot tub and the sauna to use as well.
The really cool thing about this place is the attached rescue farm that the couple has. Goats, sheep and even Oscar the steer are on site to help you relax. You'll love the setting and the walk through the yard which is absolutely relaxing.
You can't beat the location in beautiful Bear River. If you're coming in spring/summer, you're just a short walk up the road from the awesome Bear River Vineyards. If you're coming in winter, grab a coffee at Sissiboo Coffee and enjoy the tidal river.
Just a short drive to Digby where the ferry to Saint John, NB is located. Check them out on social media as they don't have an actual website. read more
