I really like this little café, tucked away on the quieter side of busy Pacific Highway in residential North Sydney. There are a few other coffee places dotted around, but theirs is consistently the best - they use Toby's Estate beans, and they make it well.
The café itself is dominated by black walls and earthy timber finishes, arranged in thin vertical planks on the walls and forming a large custom made shelving unit that houses bags of coffee beans, teas and a refrigerated glass cabinet underneath - here, you'll find pre-made goodies for breakfast and lunch like yoghurt and granola pots, fruit salad and panini.
I was sad to notice a television screen mounted high up next to the entrance on my last visit, playing a sport game audibly mid-morning. To be fair, it was during the Rugby World Cup and there was a live game happening, but it really cheapens an otherwise stylish venue. read more
