So I asked a bunch of places and this was recommended to me by a friend. She actually recommended Susan and it turns out she had the day off but some freedom to do a late night tattoo! We picked 9pm and she did an incredible job. Not only is this where we got underage belly piercings in high school but now this spot is a state of the art clean and sanitary shop that I cannot wait to come back to. Susan's room is the room we used to get our piercings in, talk about nostalgia! We got matching monstera tattoos on our feet and again Susan did an amazing job. Her artistic skills are incredible. Her bedside manner and her hilarious stories were amazing too. The tattoo was not at all too painful and the work turned out beautifully. I am so thankful for how accommodating this situation was! We went back without reservations within 10 minutes. We got Kim! I can't imagine a better person to do it. She's a total pro and is opinionated when you want her to be. We had some uncertainties about placement and she knew exactly what to do. It doesn't hurt as much as you think! I would say the pain lasts for like five seconds just while it's happening and it's more like pressure than sharp pain. It was over before we knew it and then you don't really feel it after. The whole experience felt very customized and attentive, but it also went at a great pace. If I were coming back, I would make sure that we called ahead and knew that Kim would be there. She is a gem. We went because my daughter's friend had just had her ear cartilage pierced by Kim and highly recommended it. I hope they treat her very well!

I will break down my experience into three categories, the atmosphere, the actual tattoo, and the artist. The atmosphere: Calm music is playing and you have a high def TV right by your bed, mine was playing some sort of National Geographic documentary which made it easy to entertain myself rather than playing on my phone. There is an option to use a very nice headset (my tattoo required me to lay down so I did not get to try it out, unfortunately). Beyond that, the place is incredibly clean and also dim lit. Some of Ron's art was placed around the room, which ultimately made me wish even more that I had received an original from him (Next time!). Both he and his wife are incredibly nice, very customer service oriented and a breeze to work with. It is so unlike a typical tattoo shop because the primary focus is on your comfort and your piece. The tattoo: I contacted Inked to fix and fill in an older tattoo (although I would highly recommend getting an original from Ron) and upon my arrival, after seeing his work from my boyfriend's previous tattoos, I told him he could do whatever he thought would look best. The result was more beautiful and thought out than I ever could have imagined. Ron pulled about 10 colors off the shelf and probably made another 20-30 more colors simply by mixing those ones. Once I finally got up to see the finished product I was amazed and we instantly began talking about adding some original work to compliment and complete my piece. I was (still am) ecstatic and will provide updates for whenever we finish that up. The artist: Ron is both an amazing artist and a great guy. His ability to tattoo is unmatched to anything I have ever seen before. He has a light hand, some of the highest quality colors I've seen, and the machine he uses leaves the pain to what I consider minimal for a tattoo (mine was even on my ribs). Not to mention he will not simply put a piece of plastic with tape over your finished piece. He uses a special clear bandage (can't think of the name but trust me!) that stays on for 2 days allowing the tattoo to heal much better. He stays focused and present the entire time he's doing the work, if you need a break or just a cool off he will gladly get that done for you. Beyond that, he knows that larger pieces and in depth tattoos take time and he's happy to schedule a new appointment and work things out over time. He consults in a way that brings his expertise of tattooing to your wants/needs in a piece. If you have an idea that looks great on paper but he can see it won't translate well to a tattoo he will work with you (not against you AT ALL) to find a way to make it perfect. His mind and abilities set him far above any tattoo artist I have ever seen. So if you are looking for a new tattoo I highly highly HIGHLY recommend going to Inked. The appointment may be a month+ out but I promise you, the piece you will have on you forever will be something you will be proud of the rest of your life.

The music wasn't too loud and conversation was easy. I am hard of hearing so chaotic and noisy environments are often difficult to deal with, but that's not an issue at this shop. I got a pretty simple tattoo since it was my first time there and I had my tattoo done by Aiden. He did a flawless and crisp job and I'm very happy with it.
