Just moved to the area and with no major craft stores in town, I was very happy to see that there is a scrapbook store. I'm an addict and I need somewhere close to get a fix when I really need one. Have to admit, that just walking into the store was a great feeling. No acreage of linoleum and fluorescent lights here. It's carpet, soft lighting, and the beautiful aroma of paper that you only get in the local places.
The store was much bigger than I expected. They have a large selection of open-stock 12 x 12 papers that range from $.60 - $3.00. Like most scrapbook stores, it is thematically organized, so you can easily find things that match, which is nice.
I am a stamper/paper crafter, not really a scrapbooker, so I would LOVE to see them carry more stamps and things. The stamp selection is pretty limited, but they do have tons of the Tim Holtz line. I have drooled over some of his stamps for quite some time so this is probably going to push me to finally buy them. I will also continue to wish, wish, wish for them to broaden their stamp selection.
Would also like to see them get more of the 6 x 6 paper pads. On my visit, there were only 4 or 5 in the entire store.
As for tools, they do carry some embossing folders, dies, punches, etc. Again, mostly the Tim Holtz stuff and mostly Martha Stewart when it comes to punches. They had 3 or 4 Spellbinders die sets.
They do have a decent selection of Stickles, including the Distress Stickles. Also noticed they have some of the Tim Holtz Distress Inks and paints. They also carry his distress markers.
They have Copics, but it was hard to tell what they would normally stock, since they were pretty much sold out of them!
Will definitely be back! read more
