Okay the beer IS good but the ribs...oh the ribs!!! I was raised in Kansas City - home of world famous BBQ. This is by far the BEST BBQ I've had outside of KC in 35 years! Living in Dunedin I'm so excited to know I have good BBQ when I get a real hankering now. read more

We are from Brooklyn, NY. My fiancé and I were traveling the south island for 3 weeks... After a long track we hit Oamaru to relax and see a penguin or two. We stumbled onto this brewery and immediately we found ourselves in a conversation with the owners who discovered that we were recently engaged. They brought over a complementary bottle of champagne and gave us many tips about traveling the south island. This place is totally awesome! Great beer and a cool vibe. Really nice outdoor seating deck on a nice day. Good beer. The ipa was actually pretty hoppy and well carbonated. And the pizza was quite good! Recommend the apricot chicken pizza. read more

This spot was suggested to us by the owner of the hotel we were staying at in town. After the stores in town closed we had some time to kill before seeing the Little Blue Penguins come home, we thought some dinner and a beer would be a good idea. We didn't get to the brewery in time for a tour, but you can see a lot of the operation just from the restaurant. Its really easy to order, menus at the bar, bartender will take your order of food and beer and you pay right away. We were given a number for the table and our beers were poured immediately. If they have the rib special available I would strongly suggest it, along with a side of fries. Ribs were smoked and much better than I expected, fries very crisp as I like them as well. Most people ordered pizza, we didn't get a chance to eat any pizza. I would return if I was ever in town again. Nice spot near the harbor, easy parking right at the brewery, you can take all the time you want to eat. read more

After two weeks of traveling the beautiful south island, we only encountered 2 negative human beings and they both worked the bar at Scott's. The bartenders here were nothing short of rude to my family and I. Absolutely do not recommend spending your dollars here. There's plenty of other spots in town to grab a beer and a bite. read more

Beside enjoying their beers (we like the B10 Porter), their pizza is excellent. We also like the flat bread with hummus.
